Hey everyone, as stated in the title, I'm looking to make my own Guild Ball pitch. I'm aware that there are a multitude of mats available for purchase (which seem great!), but I'm looking for something a bit more sturdy for when we play at home rather than on the go. What would you guys recommend? My first thought was to start with plywood, but I have no idea how good of an idea that would be.

I really like the idea of having it be a bit... I don't know, 3D? Use some model grass for that texture, or sand/snow/whatever strikes my fancy.

Thanks in advance.

Kingdom Death Fanatic. Dark Eldar: Kabal of the Fragile Breath. Dark Elves: Allegiance to the Black Crown. Also, Masons, Cygnar, and Legion of Everblight. All unnamed.

Holy gak that is an awesome username. Please tell me your army is called Kabal of the Fragile Breath. Morathi's Darkest Sin has some competition here for best handle, I think.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with - I just ordered a mat with the Guild Ball lines added to it from Deep Cut, but you could do some cool things with making a more traditional (old school?) board
