Howdy first post so be gentle

I'm returning to the hobby after nearly 2 decades now I'm all grown up and have disposable income haha

I like the look and feel of dark Angels having picked up DV and the codex, also picked up a speeder (for the formation) a veterans squad and a deathwing command company. All are wysiwyg atm not sure best weapons set ups my headache is with the deathwing command squad I really like the look and flavour of the Knights, deep striking in and smashing heads cc, but with my small force pound for pound am I better going just for another terminator squad for the ranged.?

Also if anyone can recommend which weapons I should pop on the bikes and speeder it would really help

Thanks in advance
Rake

First off, welcome to team green!

I love the knights, but they aren't going to last without a land raider transport. Also they still get eaten up by other death stars or tarpitted.
It depends on how you will run them. If you are deep striking then the termies will be better because their special rules.

Grim Dark Angels Interrogator-Chaplain

A Protoss colony world

DW Knights are very good in combat. Getting them there is tricky. To me, they are kind of like Warp Talons with much better durability. They are vulnerable on the turn they drop since they can't assault immediately, but if they do reach assault they will absolutely wreck face, especially against MEQ. Really they can even take on Wraithknights, although if the Eldar player gets good Stomps it can go south in a hurry. As racta said above, a Land Raider is probably the best way to run them since it can protect them on the way in and they can assault directly after disembarking. I've tried a kind of mini-deathstar with a 5-man unit of DW knights, Ezekiel, and an Interrogator-chaplain. It can kill almost any unit it can catch. Problem is Land Raiders just aren't what they used to be with all the D weapons and grav running around.

As for your bikes and speeder, I would go with Grav on the bikes. Bikes are relentless so Grav always gets the nice 3 shot 18 inch profile. On the speeder, I would go with Heavy Bolter and Typhoon Missile Launcher. Good long-range support loadout.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700

The Grotsnik Corp Bump Feelerer 9,000. It only looks like several bricks crudely gaffer taped to a cricket bat.

Thanks for e feedback, it's much appreciated, I'm mor door less brand new to the hobby only had one small skirmish thus far

I think I will run the Knights I love the look and flavour on them will have to see how they go it's all a bit overwhelming but good fun I have the Knights , speeder and vets to build thi weekend but looking at the vet squad and reading the codex they look to. Be most effective with shields and melee which puts them in competition with the Knights aaarrgghh so many choices no idea what's best haha all good fun
