The main plan with this list is mobility. Everything has a transport, and if it doesn't it can move 12' every turn. The succubus goes with the incubi and deals with anything they need to in melee. The wyches tarpit or assault then die, maybe go for objectives if things get desperate. All of the raiders have enhanced sails so they can get anywhere they need to be. (again, mobility) The kabalites shoot and avoid combat and go for objectives, they're pretty much gonna be in their raider the whole game. Onto the fast attack, the bread and butter... The beasts have some great models imo, and some OK rules. Either the enemy won't pay any attention to them and they'll get into the enemy lines and wreak havoc, or they'll get shot down immediately and save the rest of my army from jinking. Next is the reavers. I only went with 3 because while they are effective, they cost $50 a pop here and I'd rather not blow that much money on a unit that's paper thin, so 1 will do. A heat lance for AT/ap 2, caltrops for assault capability. I went with scourges because I love the models and jump pack infantry. Helps that they're a decent unit too. I gave them heat lances instead of the popular haywire blasters because I'd rather more of a TAC list than just melt vehicles, which the heat lance can do, just with less effectiveness. The solarite has a venom blade because points. The bomber is there to rain death on anything threatening the rest of the army, and hopefully have air superiority.

Every squad has a sergeant because I figured the extra LD would be needed.

That's the list and the tactics. Keep in mind this is a TAC casual list. I took models I like, and left out ones I don't like (looking at you talos). I still don't want to get stomped though, so any help, or criticism is welcome. Thanks for reading

Save a few points and ditch the Sybarites on the warrior squads. If you're needing to rely on their extra leadership then that unit's probably buggered anyway...

I'd consider doing the same with the Scourges, and putting the extra points into more special weapons for them.

I'm going to guess Wyches can be firmly filed under the 'taking models you like' category?

Good point with the kabalites and scourges. Should it be more heat lances or different weapons? Any other upgrades viable?

And yes and no for the wyches. I do like the models, but I also think they can be tactically good. I know they're as tough as wet paper but I figure they can probably get turn 2 charge by turboboosting their raider up and at least killing a few things with sheer weight of dice and hopefully staying there with their quick reflexes invuln save. They also provide a lacking assault component to the list, which I think is vital no matter what the army.

I will say first of all my knowledge on this is largely theoretical. I am building my own DE list (which you'll find a version of in this forum if you go digging) but I haven't got to the point where I can field it yet.

For me though, I'd be looking at multiples of the same weapon rather than mixing it up within each squad. You could of course specialise each squad, and have maybe 2 with heat lances and one with haywire. I did read your reasoning behind taking the HLs - but you've got plenty that will kill infantry, you probably want a bit more anti-vehicle.

With the Wyches, you could try keeping at least one unit in the back-field as a deterrent against someone looking for extra VPs from a cheeky line-breaker. A late-game charge from a unit of Wyches pumped up on 5+ turns of Power From Pain is something to worry about.

NB See above disclaimer, I am largely working from theory. Your mileage may vary. Contents may settle in transit.

Alright, I don't really like specializing squads because then if that one squad goes down then you've lost your special weapons, where as mixing them makes your opponent whittle down each squad if he wants those weapons gone. I'll probably throw a haywire gun in every squad then with the points I saved with the sarges. And yeah, a defensive assault unit would help my squishy elves from getting stomped, especially if they're hopped up on FNP.

Although, theoretical, your advice was helpful. Thanks dude

Alright, revised list. (I'm currently on my phone, apologies) take off all of the sergeant upgrades, replace void raven with razor wing. Add a unit of reaver with one heat lance and cluster caltrops, give each scourge squad a haywire blaster. Sound better?
