Here is my Ogroid Thaumaturge from the Warhammer Quest Silver Tower box
Most of the shading on this model was done with an airbrush -- all the muscles, chest, horns, weapon, all that kind of thing. There were very few washes used (nothing on the body), though of course, the sigils were painted in with a brush. It's definitely one of the times when a finer needle made a big difference in the control necessary to accurately shade -- other than the prime/basecoat, most of this guy was done with an Iwata
HP-BH, I think with a 0.2mm needle.
The quality of the model is really exceptional. For those who are familiar with the model's assembly, I airbrushed the difficult-to-reach spots it in a few pieces, first, then glued most of it together, filled gaps and that kind of thing, carefully re-primed the outer facings, and then painted it all. I love the models in
WHQ.
