Subject: Only the faithful audio drama discussion.
Right I listened to it and I have to say I wonder what was the point of it? The ending was pretty cool if you like a certain character but the ending was kind of empty to me.
Spoiler:
Nothing was solved. As mannfred said Nagash would never give up something which he believes is his which is Tarsim's soul (funny enough mannfred calls him by his original name I get the hint they were friends before chaos). We all know how nagash is like with things which he believes are his property.
Arkhan must be hiding something from Ramus since he says or claims nagash sent him to punish mannfred. Considering the summer campaign nagash wants attacks sigmar's three cities. Mannfred get's chopped in half(across the belly) mannfred stabs the lord castelleant with the fang and a portal most likely made up with the wind of death sucked mannfred up. Since it's described the portal was colored purple discolored by blood. (Nagash?) Since the fang is linked to his underworld and it is an artifact of his pretty much and nagash considers such an item a trinket.
Ramus ask's Arkhan if he is dead and he pretty much says no and that the dead are not destroyed easily(some undead have been put through worse lore wise even Arkhan) and he notes mannfred is more determined than most. So yeah he has survived(Considering he is part of an expensive kit they can't really kill him and lore wise he is the only von carstein bloodline link we have) Arkhan does also say that sigmar gave him a message that sigmar has recalled them Ramus and his stormhost. Perhaps for the all points since the realm gate wars are ending. Now the question for me is what the hell is nagash's game plan here? We all know he is only looking out for his own interests and he is an . Plus Arkhan I feel let mannfred escape waaaaaay to easily. We do know that nagash is somewhat working with sigmar in godbeasts but we all know he is going to backstab him.
Perhaps we will find out more in the summer campaign? Or the next volume of the audio drama?
Oh and Tarsim's soul situation STILL has not been solved and I highly doubt nagash has released him I am going to bet he has been corrupted by nagash by now. I feel this was not really a victory for anyone perhaps nagash yeah Ramus stopped mannfred's army(which only benefit's nagash truly since mannfred aim was the underworld and Tarsim.) I feel nagash most likely has a game plan with mannfred in mind. He made him a Mortarch for a reason and he bought him back after what he did in the old world for a reason. I suspect this is all of nagash's manipulations in play. It just stinks of one of nagash's plans. Both neferata(going by balance of power) and mannfred seek to overcome him and rule his empire. Perhaps this is just him putting the children in line for the summer campaign?
Overall I prefer the first volume I kinda feel that this audio drama's volume being a advertisement for Ironjaw's kinda hurt it a bit. Don't get me wrong it's good but not as good as the first volume in my opinion.
