I currently have 2 sicarans that I run completely naked, that is they are only equipped with the standard wargear and no sponsons or options. They have done so well for me in my games that I have been thinking about giving them additional wargear, one thought was demonic possession so they can ignore crew stunned and shaken on a 2+ (though they already extra armor) so it doesn't add a whole lot.

What do you think is a good or absolute necessary upgrade for such a tank?

Either sponson actually works. Heavy Bolters are only acceptable though because it already has a Heavy Bolter to begin with. Otherwise, Lascannons all the way.
