Hello! I'm fairly new to the whole WH40K, and I'm currently loving this site.

Right now I live in Mexico AND I'm buying with a weak national currency (P&P is my nemesis), so getting my hands on models, bits and paints is tough (Shoutout to the Bearded Dwarf Shop on eBay for great deals).
However, I'm loving the minis I have and I'm really into all of the IoM fluff (specially Daemonhunter Inquisition & GK).
I'm really handy and I've been planning on doing some conversions to build up an Inquisition retinue for my Coteaz, so, tips, tricks and bits/cheap model shops suggestions apreciated

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka

Welcome!

To answer your question I've found a mix of IG and Empire parts can make some characterful and cheap Inquisition figures.

My gallery:
Empire Handgunners and Cadian Command squads are a good start. With Empire Outriders and Grey Knights also supplying nice bits and you can usually get extra arms and bodies cheap off of ebay or bitz sites.

Witch/Wych Elfs or Wood Elfs are a good source for Death Cult Assassins

If you want to look outside GW there's some great stuff out there. Dreamforge does a line of high tech infantry with a ton of options in their booster kit. They even do male and female!

Frostgrave has some nice cultists and medieval soldiers that fit in well with GW, but you'll need some guns and tech bitz for them.

And Reapers bones lines has some nice fantasy and sci fi figures.

Hope this helps.
