As a 40k player Ive not really looked into Age of Sigmar since it's release but I've been tempted in by a friend. I used to read the old books so I know a bit about the old background but less so about the age of sigmar. I've been trying to find out what's actually happened to the dwarfs are they all mercinaries like the fyreslayers seem to be? Or are they only a faction? I've seen the dispossessed which seem to be the old ones but I can't seem to find much back story on them. Thanks.

The background for the non Fyreslayers duardin hasn't been expanded upon yet so we know precious little about them, there was some mention of steampunk dwarfs doing the rounds a while back!

The dispossessed have been stuck in Azyrheim for an age but are now out and about exploring and retaking their old Holds and Mines. Considering the timeline has recently fastforwarded a couple of decades (cities don't get built overnight), there are probably lots of Duardin now living pretty much exactly as they did in the Old World.

Bye bye Dakkadakka, happy hobbying! I really enjoyed my time on here. Opinions were always my own :-)

'Murica! (again)

Those damn manlings take forever to learn how to make their own weapons, armor, machines. Don't worry, they'll be available one day soon to venture out and smash stuff.

We are expecting some type of Steampunk release with engineers galore.

I would expect the fantastic, much like old troll slayers became their own army with exciting beasts - the new duardin would be the same with blackpowder and mechanicum.

Somewhere between Squats and Ad Mech in 40k.
