My club is running a combat patrol event, the idea being its 500 point armies running either 1 formation or a special CP detachment granting troops obsec. Since it doesn't require an HQ, I couldn't resist taking a Harlequin list that didn't include a Voidweaver.

As this is combat patrol, any vehicle above AV12 is reduced to AV12, and any model with more than 2W is reduced to 2W.

Unique CP Detachment:

Troops: 1 Harlequin troupe with 4x Caresses and Starmist on the Troupe Master. Dedicated Starweaver.

Elites: Imriams Spectre (unique death Jester with shrouding)

Fast Attack: The Blades of Fate (unique sky weavers with rerollable jink)

Flex slot (elites): Shadowseer with mask of secrets.

497 points. My goal is a flexible list that can spread into MSU, or castle into two deadly melee threats. My most difficult counters would be something like a Sky hammer if you could fit it, or maybe a couple Wyverns or other ignore cover shooty stuff.

Imriam can pair with the Blades to create a nearly invincible firebase and I can use them to tank while the Troupe runs about being sneaky either in their starweaver or on foot using Veil to survive. The bikes and troupe both have long charge threat range and pretty scary initiative so I wouldn't be too concerned about most melee opponents.

Can you think of a list that would give this a hard time, which would realistically show up in a combat patrol event?

Ravenwing Black Knights and Necron Wraiths dominated the Adepticon Combat Patrol event I attended. I don't know how well harlequins would do against them; maybe not bad.

Wraiths would be tough I'm sure. Especially with lash whips. I would be relying on the S6 mass shooting to make a dent because I'd have trouble hurting them in cc. Raven wing don't concern me nearly as much as my units would just win in melee, it'd just be about surviving the overwatch.

Which discipline will the shadowseer roll on? And is she ML2?

Since your troupe is in a starweaver, and you already have a shrouded unit, I feel like phantasmancy is less needed. Telepathy w/ mask of secrets is a good combo for hard to kill non-vehicle units.

She is not ml2, she will be going telepathy.

Are you planning to run the shadowseer or death jester with the troupe? or have them not in the skyweaver?
