Start Collecting Militarum Tempestus includes a Taurox Prime, two squads of Scions and a Officio Prefectus Commisar for $100. In the Kill Team set, you get a Taurox Prime and one squad of Scions, also for $100. How does this make sense?!?!

Not big surprise. If you were there on launch day the Space Marine Assault Squad is actually MORE expensive than the Vanguard Veteran squad (only by 2 bucks, but still). It wasn't until a few months later that GW realized people were just going to buy the cheaper vanguards (who looks better) than buying the new Assault Marines and slightly lowered the price.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

This way GW can lower the prices without lowering prices of existing kits thus fullfilling their vow to investors of not lowering prices.

GW cares not where money comes and indeed it's better for them to sell start collecting boxes rather than taurox prime+one squad of scions so...

The people who do the web bundles don't set pricing. This is why the web bundles aren't discounted like the box sets are.

The Kill Team one is a "web bundle" which doesn't have a discount, it just "saves" you from navigating to two units. The SC box is an actual boxed set, which has a discount.

As said by many others the Web Bundles / One Click Collections are just a grouping of individual kits and not a single box. They basically throw those up there show something like "Hey you know this group of models looks real cool, you can just click this and buy this grouping if you so desire". I believe GW has rules in their trade agreements with stores that they (GW) won't have sales. Discount boxes such as Start Collecting aren't a sale because FLGS and Online Sellers can still get these discount boxes for the same % off MSRP.

Happened w/Tyranids as well. The exact same as the Start Collecting box, just three times everything, for like $500, when you could easily get the box three times for $300.
