The Kill Team detachment on page 6 of the Kill Team rule book shows what options you have when building a force. Worth checking out.

You can 'take' them sure, and it would make for an interesting terrain centre piece and possibly tactically relevant combat element; but not as part of your army. 0-2 troops, 0-1 elite, 0-1 fast attack - that's it.

Some people find the idea that other people can be happy offensive, and will prefer causing harm to self improvement. |

How does the new kill team rules affect the asta militarum Wyndvane Psykers brotherhood of psykers? DO they become 5 separate ML 1 psykers? or do they lost the psyker ability because brotherhood of psykers doesn't apply?

Elites.
Also Brotherhood of Psykers is what grants them psychic powers. Lose the rule, lose the power.

But, does it say normally only one model in the unit has Brotherhood, or that they lose it if it's down to one model? If not, then there's a good argument that each model gets the power by RAW, just like each model would get other special rules of the unit. It would make sense if only one model ended up with it, though, maybe it will be FAQ'd if it's not already stated somewhere.

It says something to the effect of "A unit that contains at least one model with this special rule is a Psyker unit," then describes how it works, as in "if no Mastery Level is given, it is Mastery Level 1," and how to determine where powers are manifested from, how Perils is handled, etc. I only have the Rules 40k app on me, so I don't want to quote it entirely and have it be slightly off the rulebook, but it's what I remember the book saying when I checked it as well. So the rule grants all the psyker stuff to the unit containing the model with the special rule. Kill Team has a special way to handle this: Psychic Solitude: The Brotherhood of Psykers/Sorcerers special rule has no effect in games of Kill Team. If it has no effect, there are no psykers in the unit, because the rule is what creates the psykers.

Thanks for the answer about Psychic Solitude. I suspected it was in the rules (still need my box from GW with it to show up)
