Hi everyone ! I'm a young player from south Belgium, the part where we speak French and an obscure dialect. So I'm 20, and I've had an interest in Warhammer since my early teenage years, when I tried to get into the hobby in Fantasy, then 40K, without great success because I would start an army, get demotivated, stop for a few months/a year, and start again with another army, and so on. Just wasting money in short But last year I started again with more thoughts in what I would play in the hobby, and my wife was interested to play too, so I settled for Fantasy again, with an army of High Elves. I bought the Isle of Blood set and a Phoenix Guard box and there was my start Of course I snapped and started Vampire Counts too so I have a few of them too, not my fault if every army is awesome !

However soon after that came Age of Sigmar, surely created to destroy my hopes and dreams, and with it the death of the setting of WHFB I loved SO much. In my local GW store there's still plenty of people playing 8th Edition, but I wanted a backup plan to continue playing without the fear of being shot by GW again so I wanted to start a 40K army again, and that was the right time because the Starter Packs just came out, that's when I discovered the new Skitarii army, that was exactly what I wanted. A good firing line, but without being crippled in melee like Tau, badass-looking models and plus, they're part of the Mechanicus, which I always found very interesting in the lore. So here I am with a Skitarii starter pack, slowly getting painted. My wife settled for the Necron one, so that promises long shooty skirmishes ahead !

You'll see me soon in the background section with some questions regarding the lore, because I'd like to make a unique Skitarii Legion and I have a few ideas for it but I want to stay "realistic" within the lore, so asking veterans is a good idea I'll post my 1000 pts list once too to see if I'm not being too naive with my army composition too ! I actually played like 2 battles of 40k in my whole life and that was long ago, but I read a lot from the codices, the rulebook and the Internet, so I might not be that bad. Can't wait to get this painted so I can finally battle all day long !

I really love the videogames of Warhammer, like Total Warhammer and the Dawn of War series. And I'm an avid meme-drinker, 1d4chan being my main source of dank informations regarding lore and tactics.

Thanks for reading this and I hope we'll all get along well I'll be glad to answer your questions if you have any !

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka
