Zach, you (or your shop, not sure) are consistently the best commission shop I see on this site. This is no exception. I'm not in love with the colour palette but the paintwork is superb.

You definitely have to go claw on this model, I dont know if its the best choice game wise but it just looks too cool.

Thank you! I'm having a hard time getting it accurately photographed to be honest, theres a lot of depth to it that Im having trouble capturing on camera.

Thats some very high praise, thank you. I still feel like Im finding my way as a painter and this was a very intimidating project, getting feedback like that is really nice to have.

Don't care much for warlords, but the painting is awesome and I'm a big supporter of MSF, so I'm there!

Can you give a small tutorial on the marble effect? I think its amazing and would love to try it!

Sure, the order of operations is:

Vallejo Bonewhite > Vallejo Sombre Grey airbrushed thick veins > Secret Weapon Tire Black for the thin veins > Secret Weapon Blue Black wash > Vallejo Bonewhite/dead white to blur the edges > Brush Vallejo Deadwhite on thin veins and outer marble areas> Brush NATO Black on thin veins > Airbrush pure Vallejo Deadwhite on gaps inbetween veins > finished with a coat of Secret Weapon Water FX

This can be done with a variety of manufacturers/colors though, its more about the overall effect than any specific recipe.

No idea why I haven't commented here yet, I've looked a good half a dozen times! Simply beautiful work, maybe my favourite thing I've seen on Dakka all year, and for an amazing cause. Top notch.
