Fellow warbosses, I need a clarification here:
So, Zhad's ruleset says he can turbo boost 24 into a tank shock and has the chance to get stuck in, potentially turn 1.
Now, Deffkoptas, which are jetbikes, can turbo boost 24 as well and keep up with Zhad. Does that mean that while Zhad is tank shocking, the koptas (provided they maintain coherency) can get stuck in with him?
Of course, I know they won't be able to tank shock with him, I'm just asking, strictly, if i could theoretically create an Ork 'deffstar', including a painboy and as long as the 'turbo tank shock' maintains coherency through a conga line, and Zhad gets wounded (saved or not) as a result of the dearh or glory, would the entire unit get stuck in or would Zhad be forced to disengage from the rest of the unit, despite being in unit coherency?
Thanks for any reply, this is really tricky for me.

Yes, Zhadsnark needs to be out front and is the old model that can make contact with an enemy model for the purpose of tank shock. As long as you maintain coherency between Zhad and deff koptas you will be fine and they will get stuck in with him.

Yes, the whole unit would get stuck in with Zhadsnark. The way it works is the Zhad would be in base contact with the enemy model. Because he is engaged, it triggers the fight-sub phase when you enter the assault phase of the game. Zhad would consolidate if need be at I4 and attack. Followed by the deffkopta's at I2.

Of course, if the enemy doesn't choose to Death or Glory, you treat Zhadsnark like a vehicle and the enemy model simply move to the side (1" away from Zhad) and passes a leadership. At this point, you're in front of the entire enemy model daisy-chained all the way back to your deployment.

It would be a fun way to pop a vehicle Turn1 as it would be S10 versus their front armor, but I don't see this being particularly broken/strong.

How would you be daisy-chained? Zhadsnark and his deffkoptas would be able to scout 12", move 12" and then turbo-boost up to 24". The whole unit could move clear across the board. Zhadsnark only counts as a vehicle for the purpose of his tankshock. After that he would be back to his bike type. He also is still attached to his unit of deffkoptas because the turbo-boost is in the shooting phase and he can not leave the unit.

The OP mentioned a Painboy on Bike. That particular model can only Turboboost 12", so that leaves 12" inches of daisy-chained Deffkoptas to fill in. Roughly 3-4 Deffkoptas.

As for how to resolve the Tank Shock - If the enemy Death and Glories and causes a wound to Zhad, the entire ork star would now be engaged in combat (this includes the Deffkoptas and the Painboy). Furthermore, they would all get a pile-in during the I-steps. However, if the enemy treats it like a normal Tank Shock and passes on the option to DoG, Zhad is not locked and simply sits in front of the enemy. Regardless if you treat him as a vehicle or a bike, you have to sit 1" out of an enemy (if you are not locked). During the Turbo-boosted and DoG, you treat him as a vehicle and you only remain locked if a wound is dealt.

Therefore, if no wound is caused, you are out of combat and are free to get shot at the following player turn

TL: DR - Any smart enemy will pass on the DoG and never be locked in combat and you will be daisy-chained all the way back to the Painboy on bike - or otherwise.
