Hello party people,

I have recently "completed" my KDK army and is now looking for a new project.
After looking through the armies i got stuck at Inquisition and Orks for the fantastic conversion options.
And after finding out that Karamazov can bomb his own units i fell in love. Sooo many fun custom model/fluff ideas.

What follows is just the first thought that popped into my head, i am mostly a casual player but i don't enjoy getting stomped every time so any suggestion is welcome.
The only thing that i am locked on is Big boy Karamazov and no xeno allies
So please give me any suggestions you have to make my dream of purging the battle fields of my local flgs with righteous fire come true

Looks good for casual play..

Only potential thing I'd change is the Xenos Inquisitor.. he doesn't need all that wargear.. I personally run a standard xenos with rad grenades and nothing else, he's only usually there for -1 toughness but if he is doing it for the fluff its cool!

Accept any challenge, No matter the odds

tbh i was something like 100 points off 1850 and dident know what else to spend the points on.
Any suggestions?

And to make it more competetitiv would i have to change out everything?
I heard that inq is supposed to fill lacking areas of other armies.
Could i remove the henchmen and slap in some formations from the Cadia supplement and make it stronger?
Or will i be banished to casual land as long as Karamazov is around?

Well as you seemingly have figured out Inquisition is an older codex that is not priced competitively. Karamazov's orbital strike is cool for sure...but at 200 points not super cost effective. Acolytes are just meh Guardsmen or worse Tempestus (or truly awful space marines). Even the Chimeras are garbage compared to Guard Chimeras. If you want to take Inq even semi competitively you have to look for the units that are cost effective and that actually add something to your army.

For example: I run Sisters (already not competitive...lol) and I hate Exorcists...super unreliable. But you know what costs about the same and is much more destructive? A Xenos Inqisitor with conversion beamer in a squad of 3 plasma cannon servitors with a psyker for prescience. Not super fluffy...but a fun and powerful unit that isn't completely overcosted (the price of the beamer is made up for with the bargain of the PC servitors, a paltry 20pts each). Park them in ruins and have fun. Throw in a couple Crusaders as meat shields against shootier armies and you have a fairly cheap unit for the firepower it is putting out, doing something no other unit in my Sisters army can do. Can't wait to try it with the Haemothrope Reactor thingy.

Anyway that's just my experience. And wait on the new Agents of the Imperium book due out...maybe Inq and Sisters will get a bone thrown in the formation department.

Currently focusing on Traitor Guard

Oh right i missed the coming update,
as long as Karamazov is still alowed i will be happy

How about this list by removing the henchmen i lose a fair bit of killing power,
but it will give me better object capturing

I am currently standing on 1510 points that leaves me with 240 points to spend.
Now there are a couple of formations that i was looking at
like the hellrain from the tempestus book that will give me another deepstriking melta squad that will be able to support infiltrating assasins
Or the suppression force from the SM book that will give me 3 whirlwind to tear down infantry

Can anyone recomend any other smaller formation that would fit with this army

Inquisitor Karamazov

Formation: Assassinorum Execution Force
Callidus Assassin
Culexus Assassin
Eversor Assassin
Vindicare Assassin

The emperor's blade is a formation I'm building towards slowly.. the best way to take inquisition competitively is to ally them in as explained above.

I run mine with Tempestus to provide most of the troops the acolytes are either melee orientated or are super cheap to stand and hold objectives.

The servitors can be customised to put out a lot of damage as well with psykers and coteaz can prevent deep strike armies and re rolls but then the points are adding up

Accept any challenge, No matter the odds
