This thread again....
Shot answer yes, long answer no
Will there be a end times like event? Yes
Will it be age of Sigmar level? No
The long answer made as short as possible
So GW realized they royally screwed up with AoS and the complete nuking of lore to the point of it being an absolute laughing stock and the only actual good thing to come of it, is the game itself is half decent at this point. Lore wise AoS is a joke and i have yet to meet a single person who actively follows it.
There will be an "end times" But it will just be an end of the current way we see 40k, but not a complete nukeing of the universe. What we will probably see is an actual successful black crusade that will end up with massive imperial losses, gains for most xeno races, massive gains for chaos. We will also see primarchs come back for all faction, along with big name super characters for xeno races.
IE primarchs, avatars of war, warbosses ect ect.
Mechanical wise we are going to see a simplification in rules, and hopefully a nuke of the ally matrix.

It's pre-built into the lore.
During the 45th-46th millennium someone dies and the Imperium begins to crumble pretty hard, though it will have been falling slowly long before then, too.
Then there's this giant planet's wallowing thing that GW came up with that rivals chaos, tyranids and the other big boys, and the chaos gods hate it.
So yeah, there are many bad things that will happen, I'm just not sure to what extent GW will take it.
I knew AoS was going to happen many years before it did, because the initial idea of Warhammer was to make the good guys lose, but what we didn't expect was for GW to make them come back..... And with lore so terrible it probably nearly scared the chaos gods off.

What's the source for this? The 45-6th millenium collapse is new fluff to me.

This to an extent, AoS would have been 100% fine if they ended it like this.
The last hold out of "Order" was pushed back, and right when it was about to end, sigmarines show up and save the day, ala usher in the AoS crap. But nuking the entire world was just asinine.

I'll see if I can find it, but I've only just returned after a year hiatus so it'll take me a while. I saw leaks in 2010, then some rumours and leaks ion about 2012 or 2013 I believe, though it may have been taken down.

If we are basing this off of rumors from 4 years ago, i think its safe to say they are not true.

My fluff knowledge is rusty but Abaddon's 13th Crusade was a global gaming event that went on for about a year, and resulted in a number of things happening, like Eldrad's death and whatnot. It's dated right at the 11th hour of the 41st millennium.
But Eldar lore prophecises a legitimate endwar, when Eldar phoenix lords will be reborn and fight an epic all-stakes clash with the gods of chaos and such.

The setting has promised an 'end times' for literally decades; that is not, of itself, any reason to expect one to be played out in the fluff.
If any such thing does occur, it will simply be a 'Crisis on Infinite Earths'; an in-universe explanation for changes the studio have chosen to make in order to sell more toy soldiers.
