So I've been toying with doing a Slaanesh Noise Marines army, and I'd like to go with a 'Battle of the Bands' kind of theme. The Idea is that each squad is it's own band which made me think to design/model/paint each squad to represent a different metal band. One Squad might me Metallica, another may be Megadeath, and so on.I'm thinking that there are a few artists out there (like Marilyn Manson) who would probably work better as a Lord or Sorcerer, since their bands are far less known than they are. So I'm looking for help with ideas on which bands/member might be best to use, and any other ideas might work. I've also considered other ideas like fiding a good 'Limo' model to act as Rhino's, try and find a good 'tour bus' model to covert into a Land Raider or a Spartan. Maybe using a SoB squad as a base for a conversion for an all Female band like 'Kitty'. Daemonetts would be modeled to look like 'groupies', maybe some Cultist/roadies. Trying to find the proper Iconic 'manager' to possibly be representing a Daemon Prince. If I can find a way to do it, mod the Greater Daemon(s) to somehow reflect the record labels themselves. I'm also looking into more famous props that some bands have used to represent various vehicles for the army.

So any help with this idea would be appreciated.

Here's a couple costumed heavy metal/puck rock groups: GWAR, Slipknot, Lordi, Buckethead, The Misfits, the list goes on. Definietly need some Manowar and Slayer too.

Yeah, the trick is making sure you have enough band members to fill in an actual squad of Noise Marines. Fortunately KISS has 6 different Make-Up designes, so that works perfectly.
