Subject: Blood Bowl - Help with Wood Elf team conversion?
I'm not sure if I should put this here or in P&M, so this may need to be moved)
I just picked up Death Zone Season 1 and I'm interested in converting a Wood Elf team for Blood Bowl.
Upon looking at the Wood Elf range I can't really say I've found models that stick out to me as easy to convert. Mostly due to their arms and legs, their torsos and heads look ready for Blood Bowl to me. So I need to find some alternative limbs from GW (I'm going to be using these models in an official Warhammer store so they do need to be GW sourced) to convert them, I've considered using Harlequin or DE Wych legs as they are strongly elvish but I'm not sure about what other legs to use, nor arms, and I'm generally unfamiliar with Fantasy Elf sprues.
In short I'm a bit stuck. And any thoughts, suggestions or comments are always appreciated. Cheers lads.

I'm not familiar with the sprues either. A good thing to do is to see if you can find an image of the sprue layout, and locate some parts that you can buy from bitz sellers that are suitable

It's a tricky one, I too would like a Wood Elf team but struggle to find appropriate legs or torsos and heads for that matter. GW's gutting, renaming and splitting of WHFB certainly doesn't make life any easier. The old wardancers would have made a good basis for, well, wardancers, the old warhawk riders would have made a good basis for linemen and the old waywatchers would have made a good basis for catchers.
Now I'm struggling to see anything much I like, Harlequins or Witch Elves are probably a decent basis for Wardancers, maybe Witch Elves for Wardancers and Harlequins for catchers.
Nothing is really jumping out at me as being a good match for linemen though.

Wildwood Rangers? More of a static pose than a lot of other elf units, which befits the Lineman role. As for Wardancers, Wild Riders have the requisite bare torsos.

Yes, Wild Riders definitely have good torsos (And good arms with open hands) but the major issue is still legs. I think maybe doing some clever painting of 40k Harlequin legs could work decently but they still don't quite fit Wood Elves. Perhaps I could even try sculpting some proper boots and Wood Elf details on them?

The Rangers have a very upright and narrow stance that doesn't befit someone playing blood bowl. GW modelled them in an almost like they're marching and the capes are modelled as part of the legs so it's pretty much impossible to repose them.

I'll be interested to see them when you're done. I feel the capes on Wild Riders are going to be awkward even if you find good legs.
