When the 7th Edition Codex came out I decided to make up my own custom chapter colours and wrote out some ideas I had the other night. Basic Background of the Chapter is they're Ultramarines Succesors that specialize in Drop Pod Assaults

Chapter Tactics: The Black Watch and Warlord Traits
Spoiler:

Take the Fight to Them: Any model may take an additional Close Combat Weapon to it's Basic Wargear for 1 Point per model. If this is chosen for a Unit each model must be upgraded.
During the FIght Sub-Phase, Models with this rule may swap out all their normal attacks to make a single at at S: User AP: - Rending

Rigid Chain of Command: If this Detachement loses their Warlord the opponent gains D3 Victory Points instead of 1

Warlord Traits
1) If the Army has access to the Combat Doctrines, it may use an additional Tactical Doctrine. If the Army doesn't have access count this roll as 2
2) Gain +1 to Seize the Initiative rolls
3) In the Shooting Phase one unit with the same Chapter Tactics gains +1 BS
4) If the Warlord opts to use his Rending Attack he makes D3 with the Instant Death Rule
5) Before the Start of the Players first turn, The Player can make an additional Orbital Bombardment Attack. This does not count as being fired by the Warlord and so can target any enemy model and be used if the Warlord is in Reserve.
6) Warlord gains It Will Not Die and Feel No Pain when reduced to its final wound.

Relics of the Watch
Spoiler:

Staff of the Ancients: S:+2 AP:4 Concussive, Melee, Re-rolls 1s when Harnessing Warp Charges and Deny the Witch
25 Points, Psykers Only

Armour of Ultramar: Terminator Armour that confers the Fleet rule on the Model and his Unit
40 Points

The Thornblade: S+1 AP:2 Melee, Murderous Strike (Inflicts Instant Death on a to wound roll of 6)
25 Points

Shield of Terra: Iron Halo, Confers Eternal Warrior and Stubborn
50 Points

Ancients Banner: All Models within 12" of the Banner have Furious Charge, Rage and may Re-roll 1s on Charge Rolls
30 Points, May only be taken by a Command Squad or Honor Guard Squad

Judgement of the Emperor: Ranged Weapon R: 24" S:5 AP:4 Assault 4, Banestrike (To Wound rolls of a 6 are AP3)
20 Points

Detachment: Skyhammer Strikeforce
Spoiler:

Command Benefits:
Warlord may re-roll his Trait if rolling on the Black Watch Table

Models Disembarking from a Drop Pod gains the Shrouded rule until the start of their next turn.

Enemy units within 6" of a Drop Pod arriving from Reserve must take a Pinning check at the end of the movement Phase

Core: 1-2
Vanguard Demi-Company
Restrictions: Squads with Access to a Drop Pod must take one as a Dedicated Transport and must begin the game Embarked upon it

Benefits: Drop Pods only Scatter 1D6
Models in this Formation have the Objective Secured rule and gain a Single Tactical Doctrine for the Formation.

1 Captain or Chaplin
0-1 Command Squad
3 Tactical Squads
1 Assault Squad
1 Devastator Squad

I believe the Carcahdons get the exact same CCW thing... At 2 PPM. I'd up the price.

The free rending (on tacticals, devastators, anyone with one attack) is REALLY damn powerful!

Judgement of the Emperor is FAR too good for its points cost. 6 S5 AP4 shots with pseudo-rending?

Overall, this feels just a bit too powerful. Nothing crazy-but you're taking a top tier army and adding more.

Clocks for the clockmaker! Cogs for the cog throne!

The Charcardons get their CCWS at 1 point only Chaos and Wolves pay 2 ppm. I'll reduce the Judgement to 4 shots but I don't think the Rending will be that powerful. I'm hoping to get some playtesting done this week.
