Wreck Age is getting ready for an expanded 2nd edition which seeks to simplify game play while also introducing new elements into the Wreck Age world (like vehicles!).

In preparation for the revised rule book, we are launching an open Beta play test of the latest quick start rules. These are intended to get you right into the action and feature some of the changes to combat, skills and traits, and weapons that will be incorporated into the 2nd edition rules set.

If you've played Wreck Age before and would like to see what the 2nd edition will offer please check out the free PDF and post your comments either on the Wreck Age Facebook page, the Wreck Age forums, or on Twitter. Please post any feedback by February 11th!

Or, perhaps you've wondered about Wreck Age but haven't checked it out yet. Now is the is the perfect time to explore the rules system for free!

A link to the free rules can be found here: Wreck Age 2nd edition QSR.

We also have some teaser pics of some upcoming figure releases. These are greens for the ARHK faction which will be getting its own squad release in early 2017.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

Hyacinth will do a Kickstarter for post-apoc vehicles beginning on March 17!

Included in the upcoming range are two cars, one pick-up truck, two motorbikes, and an ATV. There will also be optional extras to create unique vehicles, and faction specific add-ons. Hyacinth Games has a number of great pledge levels planned, including a $75 pledge that nets you three vehicles of your choice and access to add-ons and stretch goals.

Yep! Thanks for posting that, Manchu.

More details on the upcoming vehicle Kickstarter to follow.

Also, we should have resin post-apoc watercraft soon. Like really, really soon. I've seen pictures of the masters and they look great (bias noted ).

I am pretty excited about 2E as well. I love the world of Wreck Age but the rules could use the streamlining they seem to be getting.

Greens look good. I'll try to find time to look at the rules, if for no other reason than I love Rollins Band.

Spoiler:

Every time a terrorist dies a Paratrooper gets his wings.

It does look good...

I might be interested in some terrain/vehicle stuff to help fill out a Dark Age table - and who knows, maybe get into this game too!

I have quite a few of the existing figures and I really like them. Will post some pics later on - unfortunately they are all unpainted!

There aren't too many other lines with vagrants, so that's certainly a plus.

So far, the factions haven't really hit an aesthetic I like, but the upcoming ARHK faction looks to be rectifying that issue. I may have to take part in this one.

One of the Arkh guys is already available:

I have Reclaimers and Drifters (Raiders).

ARHK is getting some cool stuff. They are a more organized faction (corporate military force) so they fight a bit differently than the other factions which will reflect in their rules.

The heavy trooper featured in the OP is my favorite of the new squad. That guy is a brute!

Wow!

That ARHK mini is very nice!

Do I need *another* game?!?

Heavy Weapons guy is awesome. I would like to have that figure!

Automatically Appended Next Post:
I like that has a clear theme, but isn't just "Samurai holding gun".

Like I said, they're hitting all the right buttons for me. They have sort of an Enclave-like feel to them, which I really like.

Just a quick update with a sneak preview of the 2017 Wreck Age Adepticon swag bag model.

The swag bag model is just the bike however, the rider will be available for purchase at the Wreck Age booth.

The bike would make a great scenario objective, or can function as cover!

Hope to see you all at Adepticon!

Who is the company that had the resin Mad Max interceptors and other vehicles?

Warlands was the game.

I'll be gathering up the storm... http://www.aberrantgames.com/warlands.html

I need your link, as well. We'll get a few of them in there, along with some of those Fury Road vehicles.

Warlands is a neat game, but as an FYI the vehicles are much smaller scale. They are comparable in size to Hot Wheels.

Here is a Warlands vehicle I made. Used a Hot Wheels car and Warlands weapons/armor bits. The smiley face shield is plasticard.

For anyone else that was like "what is Wreck Age"..
http://wreck-age.net/index.php/online-store

EDIT:
I wish the store were a tad more organized but I really like that it's sci-fi enough to not just be Mad Max.. A lot of the figures are suitable for Shadowrun type gaming (yay) or if you like settings like the films Elysium or Chappie or the remake of Robocop. (disclaimer, not saying any of those films are exceptional just that the settings have enjoyable traits)

Do you have any 3 ups, or vehicles already up for pictures?

Thanks, MLaw.

I was drawn to the setting for much of the same reasons. It has enough sci-fi in it to make it not just another Mad Max spin off, and it lacks the "radioactive super mutants" that are common in other post-apoc settings. Not that there is anything wrong with giant radioactive creatures, or mutated humans, but not everyone wants those things in their post-apoc setting.

There should be some pictures of the vehicles in a week or two but they might just be renders. I'll have to double check on that.

I do know that the greens posted above were dropped off at the caster yesterday so ARHK will be getting the metal treatment shortly!

Along those lines.. I'm hoping some of the vehicles are more along the lines of Infinity vehicles that have been "mad-maxed".. There's only room for so many Thunderbirds and Mustangs with machineguns on the hood

I think that is the goal. I have only seen a few renders, but I believe the desire is to create "futuristic vehicles that had the Mad Max treatment."

Just a quick update.

The Adepticon 2017 swag bag item from Hyacinth Games will be this dirt bike (the rider will be sold seperately at the Hyacinth Games' booth). If you are going to Adepticon and getting a swag bag, one of these pretties will be yours!

As you can see the handle bars are not cast with hands attached to the bars. The bike can be used as scatter terrain with no rider (or as a scenario objective) or you can add a rider already posed in the riding position.

This is the first of many wheeled and water vehicles coming out of the pipe. Stay tuned for more!
