I'm considering playing in a kill team tournament but have basically no experience playing kill teams. I've down loaded the latest rules from GW onto my iPad and after reviewing them was wondering where my peeps get the idea that each model is a unit unto itself. I don't see a reference to that. Also, according to the detachment you can have 0-2 troops so does that mean you outfit the unit per usual and then break them up? So if I took a troop unit that could take a meltagun I would end up with 4 individual regular guys and 1 guy with a meltagun. And how does brotherhood of psykers work? when playing are they individual psykers? Do I get 1 dice per model or 1 dice per unit when originally designed? And what about grenades? Do you have to assign one dude to carry that frag grenade now?

I'm asking all of this because I'm considering running just pink horrors from the Wrath of Magnus supplement. But if they only add up to 4 dice vs 21 dice I'm not so sure how well that would work. And the spilt split again thing sounds insane which would create additional units from what I understand. So that would be additional dice I would think...

Kill Teams turns off The Brotherhood of Psyker rule and doesn't allow new models to be generated for any reason. So nothing the Pink Horrors do works

The Kill Team rules are very clear about this. If you don''t see this in your version of the rules then you don't have the correct up to date version.

Ah, that's a good thing because I could see where that would really make the game a lot less fun. I only skimmed the rules this morning on my way out the door after I had downloaded it.

KT doesn't use the Brotherhood rule, true, but is doesn't say anything about never being able to create new units
It stops Conjuration power, Blood tithe, etc, but does not have a "blanket" no new unit rule.

I imagine they would have said no Split rule if it had existed when KT was written, but as it stands now, you may use the Split rule.
Each time a Pink dies, 2 Blues are created and act as independent units.
They'll basically be useless other than that, but could be used as effective board cloggers.

on a side note plague bearers work pretty nice and they have defensive grenades so you can chuck blasts of poop for each one
