Hi all, long time lurker who finally signed up and also finally bought into AoS. Just picked up the Bloodbound battleforce and am planning on expanding out into the rest of the Bloodbound range along with some daemons and Slaves to Darkness. Before I start building everything, does anyone have any suggestions on the best options to go with for the different Bloodbound units? In particular:

Bloodreavers: I'm assuming axes are best for the -1 rend, and I can always get some cheap blade reavers from the starter set. Am I best off building my multipart reavers with the meatripper axes?

Blood warriors: will anyone kick up a fuss if I give the champion the glaive? It seems like the obvious thing to do, and would also look a hell of a lot cooler. Also, are the gorefists worth taking? Free mortal wounds from saves sounds good, but it seems like if you're taking enough wounds to reliably cause those mortal wounds, your blood warriors won't be lasting long anyway. Am I better off just going with axes for consistent damage output?

Wrathmongers vs skullreapers: The battalion that comes with the Slaughterstorm box uses wrathmongers, and rule of cool says pair them with Skarr Bloodwrath, but they seem like a bit of a niche unit that could easily cause problems if their aura ends up buffing a powerful enemy unit. Are Skullreapers a solid unit, and should I just build a unit of those instead of the Wrathmongers?

I'm thinking of picking up the AoS starter set and/or the Bloodbound start collecting set next, but if anyone has other suggestions for what would be good to build off the battleforce I'd love to hear them!

I have just started the journey to make a Khorne warband.

I went with a pair of goreaxes on blood warriors. The reasoning is a lot of people gave positive feedback to this, while gorefists only come into effect once in a while.

I went with meatripper axes because of -1 rend. It will often have an effect, and is crucial against opponents with strong saves or improved saves.

I went with wrathmongers because they obliterate hard hitting units, as their blood send the victim into madness.

Skullreapers can cause lots of mortals wounds, they are quite random. Chaotic.

With love from Denmark

You will always want to have a bloodsecrator, so get the starter set for it.
