So I'm building out my Demons list and I'm trying to build up something small for my first game with them for a skirmish game with a friend. I thought that 500 might be a good place to start but I can probably build up to 1250 or 1500 eventually. Anyways if you could, take a look and let me know what you think and if I'm building out a little top heavy.

HQ: Tzeentch Herald: ML3, Disk, Paradox, Exalter Reward(Grimoire)

TROOPS: 2 X 10 Blue Horrors

Fast Attack: 7x Screamers

Fortification: Aegis Defense Line

So I think it's fairly self explanatory but I'll run through it real quick. I think I want to roll my Herald on Malefic to try and summon in some additional support and also try to grab Cursed Earth whilst roaming around with the screamers chomping on souls and light armor. The two groups of horrors hang out in the aegis defense line split into two groups for coverage/objective control. Potentially splitting into further units and acting as a warp charge battery to feed the Herald. I feel like it looks like a fun list but I'm open to suggestions!

Is it your friend's first game too? If so, skip the screamer star. He might not come back for a second. Unless he's a hardcore player who likes getting his teeth kicked in. There is nothing in 500pts that a screamer star can't melt. Think about doing a seeker unit instead or something. It can still put out a lot of attacks (more even, with rending), but it can be killed. I run a screamer star and have never lost more than two screamers from it. In 500pts, I'd only bring it to a tournament. It's foul at that level. And you want to keep having an opponent, I'm sure.

Agreed. Unless your friend is taking Smashfether, for instance, you're being mean.

Oh man, I guess I didn't realize how nasty it really was - that wasn't my intention I have never played against it nor with it. I was trying to stay with Tzeentch units but I can probably make some quick adjustments for the sake of fun.

Definitely better. Can still use grimoire on the seekers and follow them around. They'd only gain a 3++ making them fast, squishy terminators with a ton of attacks. The grimoire on screamers would have made them 3++ rerolling 1s. And if you managed to draw a cursed earth or roll a boost to their invul in any way, you'd have a 2++ rerolling 1s, with either few attacks that do high damage to any target, or lots of attacks on mobs; an unkillable Swiss Army knife.

You can´t have paradox and the Grimoire. You can only have 1 hellforged artifact no matter which book it comes from.

Ahh that's true isn't it? Would be better to replace the Paradox with more screamers/seekers or more horrors?
