Varying cities in the North

Mek Guns, Lootas in 2 6 man squads, and 3 individual Deffkoptas are all great additions. If you could use the Stompa as the ITC discount Stompa then maybe try that for a laugh? Other than that, it's hard to say as I don't tend to run my Orks without Trukks so I tend to use different tactics.

Thanks for the reply, I always loved my copptas, on a side note I have enough boys to run a "green tide" 100boyz. Seems like it could be really fun

Throw in some Mek Guns Deffkopttas, Burna-Bomba for fun and a 3 meganobz in a truck for fun could be one hell of a fun 2500 pt list? What you think

If you can field a big mek as the character buzzgob from IA8 you can take a kustom stompa as a dedicated transport. Whole thing comes out to like 400 points, half that of the stompa. That's a lot of extra orks. You should look into it.

Also, if you're gonna buy anything, buy some trukks.

I will look into that. Happen to be a free download for him or find someone with book? Also is the green tide not allowed anymore? My buddy gave me his waaaagh supplement codex? And it seems like foot slogging Orks think if the past

I have some theories on how it could work, but I have no idea how successful they'd be. Green tide was more effective before the FAQ nerfed the VSG. Now I think min/max kff msu boyz would be the way to try it. Something like

Double CAD (so min 2 hq, 4 troops, 6 slots max for specialists.)

Warboss - Da finkin kap, powerklaw, 'eavy armour, cybork body
104

3x Big Mek - KFF
255

5x 5 Tankbustas
325

1x 10 boyz- 'eavy armour, nob - PK, BP
140

9x 10 boyz, nob - PK, BP
900

4x 5 Lootas
280

about 2000 going off the top of my head. Have three main thrusts, each with a kff. Put the warboss in the 'eavy boyz with a kff and they should tank a bit of damage. da finkin cap let's you roll twice on strategic traits. Infiltrate, stealth, move through cover, enemy pin tests are all good stuff. I don't think it would be as successful as a speed list but gives you your best shot. Notably, it's not the green tide. It CAD will give you obsec, tactical flexibility, and prevent the enemy from focusing their fire. It's all about having more units now, not less, even if they are bigger. You need to capture objectives, deny them, get linebreaker and you need to split enemy fire as much as possible while focusing yours to maximum efficiency, and no more.

In comparision, a more competitive ork list looks something like

Double CAD

Zhadsnark
150

3x Painboy
150

6x 3 Warbikers
324

1x 5 Warbikers, nob- bp
100

4x Tankbustas, trukk - RR, rokkit
400

6x Deffkoptas - rokkit
180

Bullyboyz Formation

3x 5 MANz, trukk- RR, rokkit
705

1999 or close to it I think. Each manz unit gets a painboy, they can roll or at least MAD anything in CC. Tons of rokkit shots for armour or MEQ instakills. Loads of MSU bikes with surprisingly accurate small arms fire. Fast, tough, obsec.

But keep in mind this is just the more competitive style of things. A footslogging ork army is just fine in a fluffy or casual game.

IA8 is out there. I believe the dread mob update is free at least, should be easy to find.
