does it have to take the Techpriest Enginseer in this instance?

Or can I use those 6 lovely transport slots for a Cyclops and his controller?
I don't have em yet but I love the Trojan, Cyclops, and Carriaged Medusa models, but not a fan of the Enginseers for some reason

I just realized I can take 2 in a chimera, but the question still is valid imho.

Trojan can only be taken as a dedicated transport for a tech-priest.

But as part of the carriage battery no. As it is a unit upgrade

I have been running cyclops for the past 3 months and find thay work best just hiding next to objectives. I would never waste a transport on them as the cyclops can only attack in combat and there is very little assault vehicles in IG. Fyi forge world no longer sell the cyclops. . Your have to convert them I recommend the bottom half of the skatirrii tracked dudes

they can attack outside of combat, they are detonated in the assault phase but if it your turn you do not have to be in close combat... i'm almost sure of this reading the rules

thank you for the info on the Trojan, i might do this eventually

I just love these 3 models, the medusa gun on the krieg wheels, the cyclops, and the trojan all working together
Plus i think the medusa would get the reroll to wound for preferred enemy

An point that is very relevant to the cyclops is that the attack happens at i10 step. Not the the cyclops is i10. There for it can't be modified. So even if you charge over terrain to get to close combat it still blows up at i10. Good to remember.

For 2 Heavy support slots it would give me 3 Medusa/Basilisks in a carriage battery, with 3 trojans and 3 cyclops. Unfortunately, it would all have to stay together, afaik the Trojans have to stay within coherency of the Medusas. Unless there is info stating otherwise? :( . Also saw the Medusa's don't have barrage, so although the model is totally awesome, I think it's probably not really worth it in strategic game terms.
