Possibly entering a tournament soon and arguing with myself with what to take with me. It’s set at 1000 points, I’m using White Scars tactics and can’t make up my mind which of these would be better:

I know they are very, VERY similar lists, but not sure where the tipping point is when it comes to armor punch. Obviously the major difference being a unit of scouts vs more landspeeders.
I like having the special weapons all over the place, I have plenty of low AP, fair amount of high strength.
Just a glance should make it clear my intention is to shoot and move, keeping the assaults to a minimum and generally just using CQC as a way to get stuck in to avoid shooting, or as cleanup later in the game with multiple units charging (easy to do with bikes).
The meta I’m expecting is actually a breath of fresh air around here, its not just the same nonsense over and over. Although to be honest I’m still expecting to see a few knights and riptides, even at 1k….
I have a feeling though that horde lists (orks and bugs in particular) may give me issues though as I only have a few units that are okay at blob killing, and they are just that- okay.
Scouts work great for early objectives or 1st turn tank suicide run, even outflanking if the opportunity presents itself. Infiltrate if it doesn’t. Plenty of other melta running around to crack other tanks and transports.
Techmarine just seems like fun to stay in the back field being a pain from long range with the beamer.
Any and all advice welcome. One vs the other, making changes to both approaches, whatever you think might be better. Thank you all!
