So I'm at it again, a new batch of Imperial Propaganda posters. Meant to be shrunk and printed then pasted on terrain. Once I finish this batch I'll do an all-in-one image with them pre-shrunk. In the meantime I thought I'd share.

See these and my older efforts here:

First off some generic ones for terrain:

Nice, got a good chuckle from a lot of these. Particularly liked the Celestine one. Although I normally try to keep my politics and 40k separate, that quote is spot on for her.

Thanks, I knew the Ultramarine ones were also a bit political but honestly the quotes fit Roubert so well I think it works.

And now I hear Trump every time I see him.

Huh. I always imagined imperial propaganda to look more like the black-and-red, less realistic, more idealized art more archetypical of Russia in WWII but with added gold+skulls+Aquilas (like you have going on the first spoiler) but the adapted art from game books looks surprisingly nice. You've captured the tongue in cheek nature of the Imperium very well. I would love to see more, and might make a few of my own if I have the time.

40k drinking game: take a shot everytime a book references Skitarii using transports.

Haha, awesome stuff. You really go the extra mile for terrain huh? Gotta admit though, I couldn't stop myself from posting on this thread considering my avatar.

Edit: just noticed a weird thing in the women posters. The Imperial Guard has both all female regiments and mixed gender regiments so the "I wish I where a man" things are a tad weird. It's just a minor nitpick though.

His pattern of returning alive after being declared dead occurred often enough during Cain's career that the Munitorum made a special ruling that Ciaphas Cain is to never be considered dead, despite evidence to the contrary.

You should check out some EvE Online stuff, some of the players there make great posters that could be used or reworked for a 40k setting

Well that's there for 2 reasons, first off while GW fluff might mention women in the IG and other Imperial branches their art and models rarely if ever reflect it (FFG's games were much better... RIP). And second it's a reply to this classic...

Which is also ironic since women could serve in the WAVES during WWII.

A friend of mine offered this reply

Well if anyone wants to send off to art school for a few years...

Basically my criteria on these is:
Can I do it in the hour or so I have between the girls going to bed and me going to bed?
Will it look good shrunk down 1"x1/2" or smaller?
Is it somewhat amusing?

For comparison my last batch looked like this shrunk down

So the simple 1 or 2 word ones work, the rest are just colorful blobs unless you have a great printer.

Once more into the breach.

"This man is your friend"

First the inspiration

Then the 40k take(s)

Spoiler:

So far so good right?

Course just because you're on the same side don't make you 'friends'

And well some folks...

Another theme in WWII posters was the health campaigns, especially the anti-VD posters.

So...

Spoiler:

As always more here:

I should have that all-in-one version for the terrain posters done soon.

I know, of all the chapters to have hang out with the Eldar...

Doesn't help that I'm reading Gods of Mars where the BTs gladly give their lives to save the eldar Farseer. The ancient Templar-Eldar brotherhood is STRONG.

And as promised....

These are the simple posters, an image, a few lines, good for terrain and can even be read at 28mm size.

Thanks for the kind words! I'm finishing up the 'this is your friend' posters but I may return to the simple text ones, they seem the most useful.

Any requests?

How do you "finish" these off? Do you put a coat of varnish or something on these after gluing them to terrain? Some Lahmian Medium or something tougher?

I'm building a board at the moment and will use a few of these for sure.

Only the serious ones mind. The funny ones are great but plastic spacemen scenery is serious business.

Honestly I've just been gluing them to scenery, then maybe some brown ink.

Ads would be a good way to go. What are some cool fictional products to advertise?

Soylent Green of course. Emperor's Choice beer, Tombstone brand Lho sticks, Scum Stopper Ammo...

Yeah this could be fun.

So, OK bit of a big update.

The inspiration:

The first take:

And now... 90 more...

First some normal IG posters helping troopers identify their various allies. With all those regiments and uniforms it must get a bit confusing.

Spoiler:

Rar-Lee Fail Coolant systems...

Rest in Peace

Kilts and rebreathers? Please someone make these!

Must be hard to explain where in the hierarchy you stand

Spoiler:

And then some other allies

Spoiler:

I still don't believe they made rules for these guys...

...

Still my favorite, I imagine a psyker is going to get as many people as possible to attest to his status.

Such a disappointment...

And then some humor
Spoiler:

Too obscure?

I want these guys back!

YESSSSS!
