So I am getting ready for my first shot at a 2000(ish) pt army with friends within the next week or so. Going up against my friends Stormcasts which consists of the units form the starter box and the "army expansion box", along with a couple singles to flesh out the ranks.

His list consists of...

Celestant on Dracoth
Castellant with Gryph Hound
Lord Relictor
Celesant Prime
Knight Azyros
Prosecutors w/ Hammers 2x3
Judicators 2x5
Retributors 2x5
Liberators 2x5

I know he's gonna keep the Prime in celestial realm for at least a few rounds. I'm thinking maybe a Bloodthirster in reserves for when he does bring him out? Maybe set up the BT immediately and start hammering his stuff and force him to pop the Prime out earlier then planned?

I'm thinking something along the lines of...

Be'Lakor w/ runeblade,talisman, or favor
Mighty Lord of Khorne w/talisman or favor
Bloodsecrator w/ talisman
Valkia w/ runeblade
Chaos Knights w/ glaives,shields 2x5
Chaos Warriors w/Halberd,shields 2x10
Warlock Jezzales 2x3
Bloodthirster of Khorne in reserves

Should I swap out the Bloodsecrator or Valkia for maybe another unit of Jezzales or maybe some Hounds or Blood Warriors? Does this make sense or are too many points tied up in "heroes" ?


I've got actual models for Chaos lord, sorcerer, warriors(20), knights(10), chariots(both), spawn(5), hounds(20). Bloodletters(10), khorgorath, Blood stoker, secrator, warriors(15), mighty lord of khorne, jezzales(9), belakor. ... and have proxies for troops, heros, dragons and other assorted stuff as needed.
