I'm currently building a 2500 k army and looking to bring two units of mega nobz I have one unit with a big Mek and kf. In my list now I have a warboss. I'm debating if I should bring another big Mek with a kf instead of my warboss for the other meganobz unit. so any suggestions or experience with such matters?

It's worth keeping a Warboss around. Sure, a KFF Big Mek is good, but the Warboss is one of, if not the best HQ choice for Orks and will win back his points and more in mot games.

I'm running three battle wagons. Two with mega nobz and one with warboss and hardboyz. Thinking of sticking a pain with hard boyz and warboss, or would you stick pain boy with meganobz?

It's worth taking a 3-d squad of meganobz and run them as bully boyz.
As for boss and mek, i'd honestly prefer boss in a separate squad. He is just another a bit tougher a bit choppier meganob. He's better off with boyz to look out ap2 wounds and provide better field controle. As for mek, kff is so expensive, you're much better off with just extra trukks and bodies.

Waaagh! Ork Warboss

At 2500 points you're gonna need a lot of PKs, and maybe a single warboss could be not enough. Big mek with KFF is nice but still a suboptmal choice, a 5+ or even a 4+ invuln is not that great. But I love the concept and sometimes I've played that big mek too.
I'd suggest drop all the eavy armors on boyz as at 2500 points you're going to face all the nastiest things in the wolrd, so having the field surrounded by ork units is certainly better than adding some small save (4+ armor or 5+ inv) to units that would still remain squishy.

if you just need the kff... have you considered a morkanaught with KFF? nice unit on its own, start the BW beside it and it moves 6 inches, they move 12" but due to length stay in 6 inches of it for the 5++ turn 1, hopefully turn 2 thanks to the waaagh you move 6, get out 6" waaagh, run charge

My only suggestion would be to not bother with a KFF Big Mek for Meganobz. For the price of the Big Mek, KFF and presumably 'eavy armour + PK or Mega Armour you could get another unit of Mega Nobz. Meganobz don't need a babysitter whereas most of the rest of your army will probably benefit hugely from it, primarily Boyz. If I were to put an IC with Meganobz it would be a Painboy or if I were feeling really fruity (read: mad) Mad Doc Grotsnik. If you're spending more points on Meganobz you really need to ask yourself why you don't just bring the Bully Boyz or five units of three.

Ok good to know. So warboss will keep his place. What do you all do for warboss in megaarmor? Do most people just use ghaz if they don't convert their own?

In my opinion, and from the results of my games, a Warboss on foot shines with a unit of slugga boyz and is least useful in a Meganobz unit. Yeah most people seem to use the Ghazghkull model for a Mega Armoured Warboss.

Ghaz is a counts as mega armored warboss... I mean he is a mega armored warboss so not even much of a stretch. personally I like the KFF and try to run one whenever possible. and do love me the morkanaught. I also have one kff on a bike that just stays bubble wraped by BW turn 1 and out of LOS, attach to bike squad and he keeps up fine too.

The Orc Juggernaut models from Kromlech make excellent Mega Warbosses. They are bigger than a Meganob and have a little bit more elaborate armour. I originally bought some to be Meganobz but they are a little too big in my opinion. Perfect for a Warboss though.
The one i got even has a power klaw and twin linked shoota. Great models.
