Hello, im looking to start a heresy army but im somewhat new.
Iv watched plenty of battle reports and played around with battlescribe.

Heres what im looking to have in the army:
Plenty of tactical marines - whenever I play space marines, i make sure to include space marines
Two Leviathans - i call them the grusome twosome - the model looks great!
NO resin mkIV marines - no skinny leg syndrome please, so no assault marines, quad launchers, ect at least until FW figures out a way to include plastic marines.
No Day of Revelation - again, until we get unskinny assault marines, not doing it.

Heres what I came up with.

Blood Angels pride of the legion

Catapractii Praetor with Blade of Perdition and digital lasers
with 10 Catapractii terminators, five chainfists
Damocles Command Rhino

10 vet squad with marksmen, artificer armor, one heavy flamer, melta bombs, rhino
10 vet squad with marksmen, artificer armor, one heavy flamer, melta bombs, rhino
10 vet squad with marksmen, artificer armor, one heavy flamer, melta bombs, rhino
10 support squad, artificer armor, flamers, dreadclaw---------------------------Or i could take 7 Heavy Support with heavy flamers instead

Leviathan with armored ceramite, drill and melta lance, dreadnaught drop pod
Leviathan with armored ceramite, drill and melta lance, dreadnaught drop pod

-The idea being the Leviathans come in turn one, hold down the enemy while the vets hit flanks.
-The Terminators teleport in using the Damocles ability to have them not scatter and the -1 to reserve rolls, which can also be used for the dreaclaw and vets in rhinos.
-When the dreaclaw comes in, the flamers torch any infantry that I need to make go away.
-The vets have melta bombs because everyone here plays them with the old FW rules and not GWs one bomb rule.
-Finally, what works really well for this list is that when we eventually get plastic assault marines, this would be a great start to a Day of Revelation list. At that point all I would need are two assault squads and a jump pack praetor.
I would have the Damocles to prevent scattering, I would have the dreadclaw as my required fast attack choice, and I would also have the two leviathans to support the assault squads on turn one, not to mention whoever Sanguinius brings with him.

So nothing?
Is that a good or a bad thing?

How are your terminators going to be teleporting in? Unlike 40k they don't get it baseline, and from what I remember Blood Angels don't get access to Teleporter Transponders like the Imperial Fists do. Also you seem low on anti-tank.

My personal take on this would be something similar to:

HQ:
Legion Praetor: Cataphractii Terminator Armour with Combi-bolter and Power Weapon, Digital Lasers, Grenade Harness, Mastercraft a Single Weapon, Paragon Blade
·· Legion Terminator Command Squad: Cataphractii Terminator Armour with Combi-bolter and Power Weapon, 4x Chainfist, 3x Legion Space Marine Chosen, Legion Standard Bearer

Troops:
Legion Tactical Support Squad: 7x Legion Space Marines
·· Entire Squad may exchange their Flamers for:: Flamer
·· Legion Sergeant: Artificer Armour, Bolt Pistol, Melta Bombs

3x Legion Veteran Tactical Squad: 9x Legion Veteran Space Marines, Veteran Tactics: Marksmen
·· Additional Wargear: Heavy Flamer, Melta Bombs
·· Legion Rhino Armoured Carrier: Iliastus Pattern Assault Cannon
·· Legion Veteran Sergeant: Artificer Armour, Bolt Pistol, Bolter, Chainsword/Combat Blade

Fast Attack:
2x Anvillus Pattern Dreadclaw Drop Pod: Frag Assault Launchers
(Support Squad and Terminators go in one each)

Legion Land Speeder Squadron
·· Legion Land Speeder: Graviton Gun, Multi-melta
·· Legion Land Speeder: Graviton Gun, Multi-melta

Heavy Support:
Legion Artillery Tank Squadron: Legion Medusa

2x Leviathan Siege Dreadnought Talon
·· Leviathan Siege Dreadnought: Armoured Ceramite, Cyclonic Melta Lance, Heavy Flamer, Heavy Flamer, Leviathan Siege Drill, Phosphex Discharger

Atleast in my opinion, it's your list end of the day

Yeah too bad no deep striking without some ROW(like orbital assault) or some other way(Horus and Abbadon confers to their unit. Not sure do blood angels have similar).

Ran into same issue with sons of horus. Bummer! Getting some deep striking support is pretty hard in 30k.

Thats right, Terminators cant Teleport!!!!
Shows how inexperienced in the game, dosent it

So heres what Im thinking, Convert the support squad to another vet squad, exactly like the others, or give them Volkites +rhino.
Drop the Catapractii and the Damocles Rhino, and give the Praetor Catapractii bodyguard and then give them the Dreadclaw.
That being said, That frees up about 250 points for something. What should I add for tank killing power.

Doradeo?
Sicaran Venator.
Fire Raptor
2 Baal Predators?

Heres the army:

-Catapractii Praetor with Blade of Perdition
with 4 Catapractii Bodyguard terminators, 3 chainfists
Dreadclaw

-10 vet squad with marksmen, artificer armor, one heavy flamer, melta bombs, rhino
-10 vet squad with marksmen, artificer armor, one heavy flamer, melta bombs, rhino
-10 vet squad with marksmen, artificer armor, one heavy flamer, melta bombs, rhino
-10 vet squad with marksmen, artificer armor, one heavy flamer, melta bombs, rhino

-Leviathan with armored ceramite, drill and melta lance, dreadnaught drop pod
-Leviathan with armored ceramite, drill and melta lance, dreadnaught drop pod
-Plus one more tank killing unit.

Actually a Deredeo would also provide anti-air which you don't currently have, might be worth using incase someone brings a flyer or two.

Thats what I was thinking too.

But im still not convinced to take that over 2 Baal Predators or a Fire Raptor.
