OK first I know that Hellions are bad. And Reavers are better in e very way shape and form. As it is, I picked up Gangs of Commoragh to supplement my Eldar and Harlies in a Reborn Warhost, and am wondering what would be the best way to kit out the Reavers and Hellions? I've never really played Dark Eldar so yeah...

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Reavers are good as 3 bikes with 1 Caltrops. Heallance or Blaster is personal preference, but since they'll like want to Jink, I never put guns on them.

Hellions are best modeled as Reavers. You can eBay some Eldar Star Cannons and glue them under the skyboard to make them look like jetbike engines:

What about just running them as a bunch of Beastmasters?

That could work in a Ynnari list. Run them in very small units that harass and tempt the opponent to shoot at them, meanwhile you have deadlier units nearby that could Soulburst off them

I picked up two boxes of gangs of commorragh, and my 20 hellions will remain on sprue till the new edition, if they're not getting any improvements I'll sell them.

Beastpacks are nice but you need the beasts other than the beastmasters, otherwise they're not worth it.

$60ish is decent even just for the 6 bikes. I already converted a box of Hellions to Beastmasters (and Baron back when he existed), so I would just sell the Hellion sprues.

Eldar (Craftworld Sahal-Deran) 2500pts. 2000pts Fully Painted.

Dark Eldar (Kabal of the Slashed Eye) 2000pts. 1250pts Fully Painted.

Wouldnt hellions be a fair chunk better with Yindari?

Swap hellion lower half with kabalite, turn their platforms upside down and turn them into jetpack corsairs

Actually... someone else did this with skitarri bits too and it looked awesome. Hold on I will find it

Reavers are awesome in mass, and they strait up punch people in the face that don't know how evil they are. 6 bikes per squad, 2x caltrops, 2x blasters. Turn 1 - boost them 36+ behind full cover, which should put you within charge range turn two. Turn two...come out, fire, charge, delete squads/tanks. People seem to want to shoot at raider/reavers as the threats (and fliers! ultimate distraction turn 2 LOL) -- and ignore the bikes. Keep them back to povide fire support, skirt venoms around the table...and let those reavers wreck gak.

No not at all.

They are so under powered and over costed. hey are over costed b.c they have Hit and Run (This is good but not on them) Combat Drugs and +1 Str
They are bad b.c their guns are not strong enough to damage in a MSU list, so they need to be 7-10 man units, they will get shot of the table turn 1 if you dont DS them sense they are T3 with a 5+ save, and if you DS them even in Ynnari they will not be able to charge if they DS.

You can move them 24" in Ynnari sure, but Reavers are still better b.c they have ap, are T4, Jink for 3+ AND has Hit and Run, Combat Drugs also, they can even be made into a shooting unit and still have S4 Rending HoW

If they were T4 and 4+ save for 13pts they would be playable. With that said Reavers should be 4+ save too

Sadly you can just get Beast packs and do this better, a 10pt Khymera signal model fits Ynnari lists MUCH better.

Again. Sadly Hellions are only for fun play as other units fill every roll better.

Not saying "dont" play them and you "cant" make them work. If you took 4-5 units and DS them together to kill off Heavy units in back field and move them away for shoot again getting ready for count play it can work. You are just handicapping yourself.
