Date 4016: Recently restored footage of an early battlemech prototype c. 2017.

The Method-2 was one of the earliest forerunners of present day Battlemechs. By modern standards it would resemble more a bulky slow moving and clumsy logistics loading suit. It predates myomer tech but in some respects the computing power was only surpassed in the last 1000 years. It was Terran built and even predates Comstar itself.

Tonnage: 1.6
Gyro: 0.1 ton
Power Plant: Lithium Battery 0.5 ton
Weaponry: None

Well this one is kind of tiny compared to even 'light mechs' which come in the 20-30 ton range, as best I recall its something to do with the Square-cube law limiting an objects
size as you scale up, its still an impressive bit of tech mind

I hear that and always think "if the space ship launcher platform can drive around and weighs a billion kagillion pounds then big ass mechs can work"
