I've decided to jump into AOS with a Death army, I've not played before but have been reading up/watching youtube batreps and this is what I've come up with. All models have been purchased ready for my undead horde to wreck havoc upon the living, any advice either tactics or list building would be helpful.
Thanks

Command Trait - Ruler of the Night
Vampire Lord on Zombie Dragon
Ring of Immortality
Wight King with Black Axe
Necrotect
Screaming Skull Catapult
Screaming Skull Catapult
Skeleton Warriors 40
Black Knights 5
Skeleton Warriors 30
1980 (using the new points for the screaming skull catapults)
The Necrotect goes with the catapults so they can fire twice.
The Wight King goes in the big blob of 40 Skeletons

Good point I'd forgotten about that, I'll see what else looks interesting!
I would recommend a Terrorgheist instead of the Immorality Ring, its a mobile bat bomb and does a good bit of damage (its even better with a Vampire Lord or a Ghoul King).

So you need to pick one General.
Only your General can use its Command Ability (I.e. Neferata as General can use her -1 to hit bubble).
Named characters like Neferata, are not allowed to take a Command Trait or an Artefact.
Vampire on Zombie Dragon can be taken as a general, and then he gets a choice of a Command Trait and an Artefact. Plus he will then be allowed to use his Command trait.
Any 1 hero in the army can have the artefact instead of the general if you want, but named characters can never have it.
However only the General can have the Command trait. So if your general is a named character, you do essentially throw awway the command trait.
But Neferata isn't great as a non-General, since the whole reason you want her is because of her command ability.
Also Ring of Immortality is basically worthless now.
Would recommend Tomb Blade for extra heals or Cursed Book for extra defense, or Cloak of Mists and Shadows for movement/utility.
Also at 2000 points, you are required to have 3 separate battleline units. You currently only have 2 (30 skelly, 40 skelly).
