Could Celestine the living saint leading a band of grey knight interceptors be awesome? Hammerhand lends to her damage output and she gives them the much needed durability to get to, and get through a fight. And when you are ready ...divide and conquer.

I'm sure there are better combos but this seems good. Going to try it next time.

I don't think she can't shunt with them. You are better off having her "tank" with purifiers at least you have cleansing flame then.

But they are jump pack and can move together. Purifiers can only foot slog.

No purifiers can ride in a metal box along with her and they get 2 special weapons per 5 guys and have ML2 instead of ML 1.

Interceptors are just bad.

I feel like she is kind of wasted in the metal bawks.

So I thought of this awhile ago and finally got to try it out myself tonight against some Genestealers. It's great. Definitely a good combo. The fact that they can all cruise around 12" is solid to me and Celestine going up to S7 with Hammerhand makes her into a nightmare. I also added an Incinerator to the Interceptors for double the flaming goodness.

I disagree with Ceann completely. Purifiers are O.K., but the hierarchy of Grey Knight units is Draigo -> Dreadknight -> ML3 Librarian -> Interceptor -> Terminator/Purifier. Skip the metal box, let Celestine take flight with some infantry who can keep up with her.

EDIT: I'd also like to note that the Daemon Hunter Strike Force in C:IA lets you take Interceptors completely tax free so you can slot your Celestine/Interceptor combo into almost any Imperial configuration.

That is my hope. Something like this. And if the need warrants, then split the group and shunt

I'd personally put Purifiers somewhere above Terminators because if you build around getting the Nova off it can be pretty devastating when everyone and their mother is doing MSU.

I want to agree with this since I love purifiers so much. But it is difficult to efficiently move them unless you use draigo.

They have a marine stat line. They are boned for now.

Also, since Celestine and friends are a Jump type, doesn't that make her Bulky? No bulky units in metal bawkses.

Not debating the relative merits of Purifiers. I still like taking them and their special weapons when points permit, but Celestine and Interceptors seem like they synergize much better.

Going to test it soon with various load outs on the grey knights

Purifiers are kind of garbage at the moment. They reqire a transport, can no longer Cleansing Flame from a Rhino, can no longer hit a ride on an allied Drop Pod, are still just expensive MEQ. Interceptors are at least Jump Infantry that can Shunt.
