So yeah... I managed to be lucky enough to be playing a campaign of it before it's even released, I have pics of the rules on my phone but I will not release them till after the game is released otherwise GW would have my head, for those of you who don't know, Shadow Wars: Armageddon is basically the new version of necromunda.
(Proof)

Uh... cool! Anything about it to, uh, discuss, though? Like how you thought it played/handled, or anything? There's a lot you could say without telling rules, and I'm sure a lot of people would be interested in hearing about your experience.

Otherwise this post was pretty pointless

More or less a post of overexcitement but if anyone has any question regarding the rules (again, can't release them) I would be happy to answer.

cough you know that isn't any proof of what you are claiming right. Its just a picture of a troop box with the approved for shadow wars sticker on it.
But lets ignore that. Do you have any rules for Guardsmen and how did the game play ?

Not being funny, but the whole point of "40K Discussion" is to, well, discuss, and this sort of feels just like bragging with little scope for discussion, especially as you've declared you won't share any info that may not already be in the public domain that you have access to.

Honestly had no idea where to put this so that's why it's here, but as I said I will do my best to sender questions without releasing the info, so I can give a bit away

You could say how you felt the game went without giving details.

How you felt it flowed or was clunky and maybe if you feel that its as good as qs its predecessor? How well you felt the game seemed to play, ie smooth and easyy to pick up etc.

Those kinda things you can say.

I have no clue how Dakka's moderation work. I expect it involves throwing a lot of d100 and looking at many random tables.

FudgeDumper - It could be that you are just so uncomfortable with the idea of your chapters primarch having his way with a docile tyranid spore cyst, that you must deny they have any feelings at all.

Can i bother to ask how it plays?

its it a lot more like AOS? or a hybrid

hero/psy phase like AOS or like 40k

Shooting and assault type things

basically is it age of girlyman or 40k.

So let's say this, it flowed pretty smooth it was a different feel to necromunda(not better, not worse), and it was pretty easy to pick up on especial after playing necromunda.

It's a skirmish game so it plays more than 40k kill teams/ AOS hybrid rather than one or the other, they kept the stat structure the way 40k does it and made the weapons feel more likeAOS but it's still quite different than that. I haven't played any phy yet, because the only army that has rules for it is the tyranids, no other army in the game has phy

Not to hate too much, but you could have released certain rules anonymously (and I'm not sure GW even knows your Dakka handle), or set up a QA like people who have gotten codices early. Instead you're just bragging and contributing very little to the community, unless of course you made the rules better in playtesting

Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.

well I'm playing it at an actual GW location and the manager on site knows my Dakka handle so I'm just being safe. but ill answer any questions within reason. (and I didn't think ahead about that, the original post was made in overexcitement of actually getting to play it, but I realized it might be a good place to tell people a bit about it)

and he said he would kill me himself I leaked the rules so I'm already pushing it...

oh, and another thing I will mention is that in this version Harlequin's are really good... although a bit expensive because a troupe member clocks in at 150 points W/o upgrades and the Troupe master is 300, but they are worth it, in a skirmish game like this with the new reloading rules (not going to elaborate, that would leak too much) and how you get modifiers to hitting at close ranges or far ranges(depending on the weapon), and they use a rend mechanic like Aos (the fusion pistol has -5 so its ridiculous they even have a sword with -2 for 25 points) all that is packed into 1000 starting points and any more points you get for trading in promethium cashes (you get D3 on a match victory and 1 on a loss, they can be traded in for 100 points each to expand your team, but you win the campaign by having 15 of them) so they are good but expensive and limited because they can only have 3-6 members on their team.

sorry about the block of text, I wanted to leak a bit but I'm in a hurry
