So I was thinking about what rules would be like for alpha legion in SW:A, and the chaos rules work well enough for most chaos forces, but alpha legion is as usual a tad out of band with those.

So how about we replace mark of chaos with:

Cult Uprising - Alpha legion makes extensive use of cultist in their battles against the imperium, to reflect this Alpha legion kill teams may have more recruits than troopers, up to double the number of troopers.

You would then replace the aspiring champions "Champion of chaos" with:

I am Alpharius You do not reveal which model is your aspiring champion, and enemy kill teams do not get mission specific bonuses for putting your leader out of action.

Troopers would get guerilla skills instead of combat, and specialist get stealth instead of combat.

what do you guys think, that capture the essence of alpha legion ok?

I'd just leave the I am Alpharius rule as no bonus for knocking out the leader. Otherwise it makes it hard to play because your Aspiring Champion would almost certainly be the most kitted out character and the rule would be moot.
