Subject: [1850] - Necrons - Deciding between two competitive lists.
Alright, so I have a game coming up this weekend and can't decide between two lists. I'll be going up against some BA drop pod spam this time around which I haven't had to play against before.
The lists I have so far:
List 1 Royal Court Star:
Rec Legion.
Nemesor Zahndrekh
X5 Immortals
X5 Lychguard with swords and shields
X3 TBs with vanes and scopes
2x10 Warriors
Royal Court
Overlord with scythe and veil
Orikan
Lord with solar staff
D. Cult
D. Lord with scythe, nightmare shroud and phylactery
3x2 destroyers, 1 heavy
Harvest
X3 Wraiths with whip coils
Spider with particle beamer(Had 10 points)
X3 Scarabs
List 2:
Rec Legion
Overlords with scythe and gauntlet of fire
X5 Immortals
2x3 Tomb Blades with vanes and scopes
2x10 Warriors
D. Cult
D. Lord with scythe and nightmare shroud
3x2 destroyers, 1 heavy
Judicator Battalion
2x5 Praetorians with rods
1 Stalker with heavy gauss cannon
Harvest
X3 Wraiths with whip coils
Spyder
X3 scarabs
So list one gives me the lychstar which will chew through just about anything and should draw quite a bit of fire. It's slow but he'll be dropping drop pods all over turn one so I don't think I'll need to move as far.
List two gives me a few extra units. 2 dedicated assault units instead of the lychstar and more AP2 in case he brings termies. Faster with more MSU but not quite as resilient as list one.
What do you guys think?

Subject: [1850] - Necrons - Deciding between two competitive lists.
Put the D lord, O Lord and Orikan with the Lynch to form a deathstar. If you have T1 field the star as normal and after your opponent has stopped spammingpods you can use the O lords VoD to Deepstrike into a better position.
3 units of immortals can hold objects and pop any pods that are in range.
Tomb Blades can get objecs that are far away. Use PB 1st to do a blast damage then use Gauss to kill anything left over.
2 units of wraiths will wreck anything in their paths and can tarpit anything dangerous. Use can use the sypders to spawn 2 units into each scarbs unit every other turn.
Warriors will just drop lots of shoota hoping to lessen the number.
