So, I just moved to a new area and have been looking around for people to play, there is a guy a little north of me who runs Khorne Daemonkin. We don't have a date set, but I imagine that it will be in a week or so. I also imagine that it will be about a 2,000 point army. I have never fought KDK and was wondering if you guys had any advice. I run IG and I have two Knights ( though I don't know if I am comfortable in using them in such a small game). Here is a break down of what I got and how its normally set up: 2 platoons with flamers on the pcs and the ps themselves with autocannons adds up to 70 gaurdsmen; 2 squads of vets with meltas; 5 LRBT with switchable weapons; 3 wyverns, and a mainticore; and a CCS with MoO. Thanks for the help, In all likely hood I'm just going to dog pile him.

Your army list of models looks awesome.

Awesome artillary with all the bodies.

I personally would lay off the knight, as pure KDK armies tend to struggle with armor 12+ dreadnoughts, so a knight would be rough even with a D-thirster.

Str8 will destroy flesh hounds, and bloodcrushers. Itll force melta bikers to jink as well if they're ap3.

LR with punishers to pick off units as they get closer are mean too.

Should be a nice bloody battle

Why Aye Ya Canny Dakkanaughts!

Rain hell from the sky! KDK tends to have a lot of squishy models that will get shredded by your artillery. Use Russes with punishers to gun down his big monsters like thirsters and princes. It might also be an idea to bring several platoons filled with flamers to make a defense line for your tanks.

If you are feeling really mean, bring a knight: stomp through his infantry and beat his thirsters around, it will also come in handy if he decides to bring some defilers.

All in all, keep well back and make sure to ignore whatever amount of cultists he has brought (they are fodder for the blood tithe).

Thanks for the input guys! I'll be sure to take all of this into account. Flamers are in on my list as are the punishers. Once the battle happens I'll give y'all an update.

Use as many lasgun guardsmen as you have. I felt mean last time I played khorne daemonkin when I used a couple of 50 man conscript blobs. He didn't even dare charge one of them with his thirster as he knew he'd just be bayonetted to death over the following few turns...

Fully Painted Armies: 2200pts Orks 1000pts Space Marines 1200pts Tau 2500pts Blood Angels 3500pts Imperial Guard/Renegades and 1700pts Daemons 450pts Imperial Knights

The game is today, and I was reviewing my list when I noticed that I had failed to give my PCS a heavy flamer and flamers. So now I need to decide what is more important; MoO or those flamers. the PCS doesn't have a transport, they'll just be hanging out behind the gun line to fill gaps.
