Hello! I am new the the forum and need suggestions on the best way to attach this IH Immortal shield to my Gorgon Terminators. I have considered the following:

1. Cut off the original Immortal shield mount from the arms and use greenstuff to attach the bit to the Gorgon arm, then glue the shield to the Immortal shield mount. The problem with this is that the greenstuff makes the Gorgon arm awkwardly long and the Immortal shield mount is always damaged in the removal process.
2. Use the current Gorgon arm and drill a small magnet into the outside of the forearm. Then, use greenstuff to make a shield mount that would fit snugly to the Gorgon arm and then put a magnet into the greenstuff. cut a hand off of an arm and use it to complete the arm. The problem is that the positioning of the current Gorgon arms make the sheild positioning very awkward, doesnt look right.
3. The third and best option I think is to use a regular Terminator SS arm, and use the method from #2. The only "problem" is Im not sure the arm design will work/mesh with the unit.

Below are pictures.

Im not familiar with that kit.

any particular reason you want to have it magnetized?

from what i remember terminator hands are going to be bigger than normal marine hands. i dont think it will be overly noticeable behind the shield.

more pictures required.

The terminators are the FW Gorgon Terminators and are roughly proportional to the other regular (Indomitius Pattern) terminators. The shields are from the FW Medusan Immortals kit. I

The magnetization is so I can have it fit on clean and I can use LC or TH/SS like a standard Terminator CCW squad.

Hmmmm its tricky. not even sure how LCs will fit on them ether.

id say magnetize them at the elbow and have spare arms for the LC tt/ss options.

what LC are you going to use.

From the pictures it looks like you could cut the shield arm off below the pauldron, so you are left with the forearm with the elbow still attached. If you then do the same to an arm from your target model and superglue that together, you should be done.

I thought about using the Cataphratii or Tartaros LCs and cutting them off right above the elbow where those armor strips that dangle from the pauldron end. I think they may be too big and look clunky. If the sizing doesnt work, Im going to use standard Termie LCs.

Anyone think the Tartaros or Catapractii claws would be too big for a conversation to the Gorgons?
