  • This is using all the Wraithguard/blades I own. They are mostly magnetised so I can swap them out. I have the cannon bikes for holding objectives. I've played one game of 8th with this list against my friends Tau and it was extremely resilient against them but I'm not sure how it will hold up against swarm lists or other elites. I'm wanting to build a list that can take on all comers.

I think your list will benefit from one unit of basic wraithguard. their damage output vs high W targets is phenomenal, plus they can walk out of combat and shoot again. the scythes are good, but at just 1 damage per hit, not as good at stripping wounds. Drop the twin swords, not a fan really. Maybe drop a shuribike to make points. If enough leftover, add glaive to wraithlord.

I don't agree on the twin sword wraithblades. They hit twice as much as axes (one more attack, better WS, so 2 hit average against the single hit from axes), so are twice more deadly against single W targets, and pretty close to the axes against most high T/W. You do lose the invul, but they're much cheaper.

I think the best way to run wraithblade is with big units with psychic support (fortune + conceal), but it seems very difficult to fit that in your list.

Completely unrelated, but where did you get the files for battlescribe? I haven't seen any for 8th edition so far.

The 8th edition Battlescribe files dropped today, they had them in testing before which is what I worked off of.

I think both wraithblade units have their place. The swords will take out a lot more single wound models but I feel like the axes are more effective against high wound targets.

With regards to the Wraithguard, I agree, the wraithcannons definitely are a better option against Elites. I would need to buy another unit of wraithguard as I only have 3 units so I couldn't field a fourth with the cannons. I may consider swapping the cannons in for the d-scythes and use the points to add more bikes or add the sword to the wraithlord. It's tough to fill out the list at only 1000 points
