Someone suggested that the myriad of errors in the new FW indices may be because the digital version is accidentally an early draft or something. I was wondering if anyone had a print copy to compare in the hopes this is right. Small chance but may as well check.

Although hope is the first step on the road to disappointment...

I have all 4 print versions. Anything specific you want me to check?

Yeah, got the Chaos one.

Two biggies I've is the Land Raider Proteus has two twin Lascannon and a twin Heavy Bolter which can be exchanged for a twin Heavy Flamer or Twin Lascannon.

The issue is, the Proteus doesn't have that third weapon option, the Armoured Proteus does, the Proteus (if I remember right) just has 2 x sponson Lascannon and a Pintle option.

There is no entry for an Armoured Proteus, but the website says that's the rules can be found in the Chaos index.

The second, I don't recall which unit, but one of the vehicles has two (slightly different) rules for exploding under the same entry.

Also, there's clearly at least two "voices" in the writing, some units have a brief fluff description in their rules entries explaining the reason for the unit havi said rule, whereas others are just plain factual descriptions of the game effect.

Probably a few of the more stupid rule mistakes they made. Let's take a small sample:

Tau Tiger Shark AX-1-0 has a macro weapon it can't fire on the move because it isn't titanic. Some change to that, like making the unit titanic or a special rule.

Elysian Plasma guns getting damage 3 on overcharge.

Crazy wording in the Macharius Vulcan Cannon rule with "in the preceding shooting phase" nonsense.

Stop trying to save the time-space continuum. That's the Ordo Chronos' job.

For the rest of you, you could look at this thread in the rules forum to see the numerous errors uncovered: https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/727559.page

I wasn't saying that I necessarily believed it, but it was worth seeking evidence to support or debunk the hypothesis.
