Has anybody tryed these yet? I have not mathhamered the % of charging with the lictor, but even with a command point or/and the reroll on charge it seems unlikly they will make the charge.

I am also having a hard time seing the deathleaper ever being deployed if the oponent bubbel wraps. And then you can never ever place him.

Has anyvody please tryed them?

I played against 3 lictors, deathleaper, mawloc, and trygon prime in the same game as blood angels. I was boxed in a corner and surrounded turn 1. There were 2 choke points, so I managed to hold off the main force ok, but I still lost.

How did he manage to deploy the deathleaper? Sounds like there should be few windows.for it. Once the character he hunt is dead he can not deploy.

I didnt know the deathleapers rule so I deployed bad, and faced 3 lictors, him a mawloc and a trygon prime. 3 lictors made it in with rerolls, the mawloc and trygon got in but the deathleaper didnt. I found that they do manage to survive with the -2 to hit, hard to put lots of wounds on them. So I tied them up with screening units and they were neutered quickly.

A Lictor can charge with his rerolls with more than 50%. I think it even was 55-59%. Also the command reroll does not work, because you can only do one reroll for every dice.
They are good for locking down shooting units like Devastators and Heavy Weapons squads. Also pinning tanks, as they cannot fire after going out of combat.

I think Lictors are one of the most important units for Tyranids, but they are just a denial unit. With sufficient bubble-wrapping the opponent can also totally avoid them. But not all armies are capable of doing this.

If I do can spare the command points you can use the lictor reroll to reroll both dices if they are crap, and re-roll one dice with a command point of one of them come up 5 ot 6.

These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.

Doesn't it say in the rulebook that you can choose to reroll one or both dice in this situation? Don't need to spend Command points in this case. Lictors can be great to tie up units but really got to work with the rest of the army list. The can't stay in close combat forever and will bite the dust at some point. Once tried to assault a venerable dreadnought (double autocannons) and lost 2 lictors with overwatch shooting.

But lictor nr 3 did make it and kept that badboy in close combat for 3 turns...
