Hi
I am looking at buying some winsor & Newton Series 7 brushes but I am unsure if I should get the standard series 7 brush or the miniature series 7.
Any advice welcome.

Thanks

Absolutely the standard. The miniature version have very little use for 'miniature' painting, ok for edge highlighting, but the standard is still better.

Yeah definitely go with the standard brushes. The brush tips are longer and form a point much better. I would say sizes 1,0 and 00 should be all you ever need but ymmv. They are quite pricey but they're definitely worth it.

Agree with the above on brush sizes.

I also agree on those sizes. I use primarily the 1 for everything because it has such a sharp point, but the 0 and occasionally the 00 do have their uses.

The 2 is also really nice for base coating but it isn't necessarily cost effective for a larger brush size.

Thanks for the Help. I think I will be getting the normal series 7 brushes. I was not to sure what sizes to get but I think I will go with the suggestion of a 0 and a 1.
