I love the DI box cover and given that I can manage stick men art at best I am in awe of such artists. I am just curious about a specific piece of composition and perspective that bothers me every time I see it. I understand that in the grand scheme of things it actually doesn't matter but this has been a mind worm for me. I've put it in the spoiler below as a couple of mates I spoke to wished I had never brought it up.

Spoiler:

Is the primaris captain's sword bent? I've added a green line that goes through the pommel, grip and hilt and it appears drastically off compared to where the blade actually ends up. Is it just an optical illusion by the gold hilt and the similarly coloured background? Do I just not understand perspective or how swords are shown in art?

Oops. Maybe it's a special, more ergonomic hilt?

Why Aye Ya Canny Dakkanaughts!

"Attention Imperial citizens! This poster shows a mighty Primarus Captain so disgusted by the sight before him that he is crushing his own sword out of anger causing it to bend! This just rienforces the knowledge that the Lord Commander's newest marines are much stronger than any foul being of chaos! Any attempt to suggest that this was a mistake by the artist is mearly Heretical propaganda! Now move along citizens!" *In other news an Imperial Propaganda artist was founf guilty of Heresy and executed which is in no way connected to the resent art picturing Primaris marines*

Surfing the Tervigon Wave...on a baby.

The second image from that series has me laughing.

I can imagine him waving the sword like that, wafting the foul stench of Nurgle away!

Now only a CSM player.
