If I'm reading the rules for the Stormraven Gunship correctly, the passengers inside are entirely immune to the effects of the Stormraven taking a dirt-nap, other than the normal penalties for having your transport explode while you're inside it. As the mortal wounds are dealt to units within 6" before the models on board disembark, you run into the crazy scenario of a Stormraven being shot down and kamikaze-ramming a Stompa with the occupants of the Stormraven being entirely unpertubed by their plane crashing. Am I missing something, or is this crazy scenario the way the rules play out?

For thirteen years I had a dog with fur the darkest black. For thirteen years he was my friend, oh how I want him back.

Embarked models in a destroyed vehicle are removed from play on a roll of a 1. So not completely unaffected.
