That is my question.

Also, does it increase the drying time for acrylic paint like a "flow aid"?

Thank you.

As far as i'm aware it's for thinning the paint without reducing the adhesion qualities, and without the surface tension increase that water can give. Though i tend to use airbrush thinner as it's ten pound for 200ml but lahmian is 2 pound for 12ml. p.s not sure about the drying time thing.

I use it to thin and blend GW paints, also as an overwash for decals to matt them down, I also use it to solidfy the cracked paint on bases such as the lava bases (stop it peeling off).

i went to my local gw to buy a can of matt seal but he said they no longer make that.
instead he said i could brush on lahmian over the normal varnish as it would remove the shine.

havent tested it yet tough.

It's everything you find in a normal GW paint pot, minus the pigments.
By mixing it with paint you obtain something that behaves similarly to paint (whereas pure water changes the physical properties a bit), but has a lower pigment density, so it's perfect for mixing glazes, or just thinning a very thick paint.

It will do that, but a layer of matte medium or varnish will do the same thing. It'd be a waste of lahmian to use it just for that, in my opinion.

I use it to thin the paints to act as a glaze.

I use it to thin glazes and washes, like guilliman blue glaze 10:1 to make my spirit hosts all ghostlike without using the off green stuff GW makes.

A ton of armies and a terrain habit...

Do you have a picture of how that looks, I have got some spirit hosts and keen to see how people have done them.

If you have old paint that's gotten too thick, add a couple drops of Medium and a drop of water. Shake vigorously... you're set.

Also, if you take 1 part paint, 3 parts medium, and 4 parts water, you can make "washes" just like GW's, except you can make them from lighter colors to use over lighter base colors.

For example, 2 drops Ceramite White, 1 Drop Ice Blue, 9 drops Medium and 12 drops of water makes a fantastic "ice blue" wash to put over white primer, which you can then drybrush with white again to have a nice, COLD, crisp, white.

Looks great on Retribution of Scyrah models...

I use it for many different things:

1) Spray it through my Airbrush for the best looking finish after varnishing with purity seal. Makes every great model even better.

2) Thinning light colors (whites, yellows etc.) to prevent brushstrokes. Works 10 times better than water, try it.

3) Making washes/glaces or even thinning gw washes.

4) preparing decal spots

5) basicly consuming it like water, drinking and showering included.
