Found this among some ork kits and I don't recognize it. The manufacturer's stamp on the base is hard to make out but it looks like the date is either 93, 96 or 98. Also not sure if this is a GW ork or some one else's?

Any help IDing this guy is appreciated!

GW-esque styling from mid-late '90s, but definitely not a GW figure.

I don't think I've seen that model before, but there were a whole bunch of different pop-up manufacturers around that time making not-GW models.

Thought that that one looked familiar....

The figure there is an old school DemonBlade Games Shock force Org warlord. Back in the rose tinted days of 1990 on, we had our first run of 2d edition, and there were an awful lot ( Or a lot of Awful) additions for 40K gaming from .... shall we say... other companies.

That one in the Picture is a Bobby Jackson Org Warlord from the Shockforce line. One thing I will say- Those old school figures had attitude and a lot of heart.
They are still relevant today, and those of us who still play Star Mogul have a soft spot in our hearts for the old DemonBlade Games figures.

Additionally, If you are a player, THESE figures are a bag of chips.

Heres a picture, courtesy of Lost minis.

Back in the day, this was one of a number of 40K knockoffs that were there for the figures, more then their game.

Johnny Lauk and Mega Miniatures picked up a few of these, as well as the Fallout inspired game that escapes me right now, the Mutant line is a bag of awesome-sauce with Judge Dredd Players.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

Thanks, everyone!

Meant to update this thread a few days ago with a rear shot of the mini, but Grot 6 didn't need that, apparently!

Thanks again for helping ID this guy.

Huh, fancy that. I thought the weapon looked like a Demonblade sculpt, but hadn't seen that particular figure in their range.
