Question: I got a bunch of tactical marines w DA shoulder pads (wings &sword), im wondering how picky people get when it comes to declaring these BA. Am i ok for tournaments and what not if i just paint them BA colors or should I try to find and buy blank pads and have them replaced?

I am not that into the backstory of the game, it would probably be fine by my standar.

Also die hard fans will probably get stock on the logo as they would recognise it. You could try skupting in a drop of blood?

My friend did this. It fidn't bother me but the inconsistency in the red he used did. I do quite like the lore but if anyone is being to picky just declare them a blood angels successor chapter with dark angel traits.

I'd just paint them as BA and call it good. If you want you can modify any swords into blood drops (or cut them off) and cut off any squad marking stuff.
