Probably a silly question but.....what does the monster keyword stand for? I have searched the rules but cant find exactly what its for. Could anyone direct me in the right direction?

All skill is in vain when an angel comes down and pisses in the flintlock of your musket.

…And if you mean heretic due to the fact that I detest your rotted, pathetic, corpse of an emperor, then yes, I guess that I qualify there also…

It means it can be affected by rules that affect models with the MONSTER keyword.

defeat. It would seem that stupidity is as eternal as war.'

Keywords themselves have no rules meaning. They exist solely as a reference for other rules. For example, a rule could say "This weapon wounds MONSTERS on a 2+", which would only affect those units with the MONSTER keyword.

One major example is the rule that allows units with FLY to ignore terrain. It's not the keyword itself that allows it, it's the rule referencing the keyword that does.

Unlike previous editions that had special overarching rules for Monstrous Creatures, 8th has no such overarching ruleset for them.
