Since they won't have any Sonic blasters, just pistols and chainswords, and they're essentially the same as the CSM squad box, how would you represent a melee noise marine squad? Could you just paint them Emperor's Children and they're Noise Marines? Same if they're just using bolters?

Clearly their power axes need to be guitars.

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

It remains ironic that Noise Marines do not get access to Sonic Weapons.

Use noise marines heads, or other pieces with vox-casters set into them, e.g. from the raptors kit.

Also, their 'noise' isn't just limited to sound, but embraces everything. You could try giving your noise marines a more lurid paint job than the other EC in your army.

Kakaphonii from FW with appropriate 30k melee arms - see Palatine Blades. Pricey but looks the business.

Please note, for those of you who play Chaos Daemons as a faction the term "Daemon" is potentially offensive. Instead, please play codex "Chaos: Mortally Challenged". Thank you.

They are Noise Marines if you are using the Datasheet for Noise Marines, regardless of what they may be holding.

It really is an annoying problem though, cause you still want them to scream that they are Noise Marines for your opponents benefit and for the unique Theme of your Army itself. I would advise to avoid the Bolters entirely, again you do not need to have them Modeled if the Datasheet says you have them and most assume all marines have them by default anyway. As cliche as it all is, I would second putting as much music based imagery into the pieces as you can manage because this is Slaanesh and you should be to the excess with these Models.

Find as many suitable 'holding something' arms as you can, and put musical instruments in them....
If you do this, have some holding Barbie musical instruments because I like the imagery that brings: Such a tiiiiiny guitar beating your brains in.

8th made it so I can no longer sway Tau onto the side of Chaos, but they will eventually turn aside from their idea of the Greater Good to embrace the Greatest of pleasures.

I gave my Noise Marine icon bearer a banner with the Rolling Stones logo. I figured it was a pretty strong visual cue.

I was thinking of using one with one of
My Life with the Thrill Kill Cult
album covers...

Now I'm inspired to work on it again,
Thank you!

A nice way to make noise marine helmets is to take a CSM horned helmet and two CSM topknot helmet.

Remove the horns, then set the topknots on the horn mountings.

Congratulations, you now have a Britney Spears helmet marine. Perfect to please Slaanesh.

Don't forget about DOOOOOOM Sirens - vitally important for close-combat orientated noise marine squads. Model-wise, you could try using the bedlam fraternity shoulderpads, heads and such from Kromlech to give them an undeniably noise marine feel.
Slaanesh is something that should definitely NOT feel banal, so be as imaginative as you want when designing them: sex and rock and roll are too cliché. Add in some drug-imbibing apparatus or stimm needles protruding from their armour. Make them wear robes made from flayed skin. Give them high heels. Plumes. Topknots. Mohawks and manes. Fur cloaks. Leather straps everywhere. How about jewellery - I find Eldar guardian ammo packs look fairly ornate and decorative and fit for this purpose. (Maybe don't try all of this out on one model - these are just ideas.)
As for weapons, you could go for musical instruments (how about a group drummer with skull-tipped drumsticks?) or you could use grey knight falchions or more piratical cutlasses.

Do you know what your sin is, Malcolm Reynolds?
Ah hell, I'm a fan of all seven.
But right now, I'm gonna have to go with wrath.

The best melee loadout is bolt pistols and chainswords. A few thoughts on how to have fun with it.

1) This link shows what the original Noise Marine parts looked like. Notice the chainsword was connected to the armor via a pipe. It's pretty easy to replicate this using Guitar strings.

2) I personally think that claw could be used as a power sword - it's just curved. Might make sense to do it as a curved casing.

3) With regards to the bodies, you could use a standard CSM and make it look more appropriate by adding the subwoofer to the chest. It's pretty easy to do with green stuff / procreate. I have used a pencap for the texture inside, just poke little holes.

4) What might be hard to see in this photo is the distended jaws. Noise Marines always look like they are yelling. This would not matter if you put helmets on them, but NMs always look more impressive when they are yelling.

I use sons of horus reavers personally.. with kitbashed blastmaster/doom siren. I havent got around to creating blasters yet which is why mine are still rocking bp/cs.

If my phones camera hadn't died I'd post a pic of them unpainted.

Edit- ok pics suck with the selfie cam sorry..
